How to Change the Administrator Name on a Mac

Login to your Mac using the administrator account. To do this, select the administrator account from the login screen. Depending on your settings, you may need to enter the administrator password. If you are already logged in with another account, then first select 'Log Out [Account name]...' from under the Apple Menu at the far left of the top menu bar.
Open the System Preferences application. This program is located by default in your Applications folder, but you may have moved it somewhere else. The appearence of the icon varies depending on what version of Mac OS you are using. In Mac OS 10.5, its icon looks like three gears in a silver-colored box, but in earlier versions of Mac OS X it may look like a light switch.
Select 'Accounts' in the System section. The Accounts icon looks like the silhouettes of two people, and is usually at the beginning of the fourth row of icons, under the 'System' header. Click on the icon.
Select the administrator account from the list on the left of the Accounts window. Administrator accounts say 'Admin' under the account name. Change the administrator status of an account by checking or unchecking the 'Allow user to administer this computer' box. If there is only one account, it will have administrator privileges by default.
Change the text in the 'Name' field to the new administrator name. Enter the administrator password to confirm the change.

How to Fix a MagSafe Power Adapter (4 Steps)

Make sure the power outlet you plug your power adaptor into is working properly. Test the power outlet by plugging an appliance that you know works, such as a lamp or a television, into it.
It is normal for the power adapter to heat up a little during use. Disconnect your adapter and let it cool off if it overheats. The adapter should function correctly after it has cooled.
Your MagSafe adapter may malfunction due to the pins located in the connector getting stuck. For example, all of the pins may get stuck in a downward position. When a pin gets stuck, unplug the power adapter from the power port and plug it back in. This makes the pins shift and set themselves again into a neutral position. If you are having trouble getting the pins to reset themselves, press them gently sideways with a non-abrasive object such as your finger.
Check the power port on your Apple computer and the adapter connector on your MagSafe for any damage, and clean them both. Clean the computer port or the power adapter plug by taking the adapter out of the outlet or by taking the battery out of the computer. Clean the connectors carefully using small, precise tools, such as a cotton swab or a toothbrush with soft bristles. Ensure no cotton fibers stick to the pins. Use rubbing alcohol if you want to clean the connectors thoroughly. Ensure that all connectors are completely dry before using your adapter or computer.

Remove the screws around the screen, and disconnect the cables at the bottom of the screen from the plastic part of the MacBook that connects with the bottom half. Remove the screws on either side of the screen holding it to the brackets, there will be two or three on each side. Remove the sleep magnet on the left side of the screen. Remove the screws from the top, and carefully remove the tape from the back of the screen. Separate the miniature webcam and remove the old screen from the side brackets.
Install the new screen. You will go through the exact same process as before, but in reverse. Place the new screen in the same position as the old one, place the brackets around it, replace the webcam and tape down the wires.
