How to Reimage a Macintosh Computer (6 Steps)

Attach an external hard drive to your Macintosh that has at least as much storage capacity as the space used on the drive you are imaging. You can skip this step if you already have a second drive with enough free space.
Launch the Disk Utility application from the Applications/Utilities folder.
Select the drive you wish to image by name in the list on the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window. This list will also include drives by their serial number. You should usually ignore these in favor of the named drives; however, select the drive by serial number if you want to create a single image of a drive with two or more partitions.
Choose 'File' > 'New' > 'New Disk Image from...', which will display the name of the drive you have selected.
Select the external drive in the Save dialog. If you wish, select a compression format and encryption method. Compression will create a much smaller disk image which still contains all the information on your original drive. Encryption will require a password before the disk image can be opened; if you lose this password, you will not be able to access the contents of the disk image.
Click 'Save' to create the disk image. Disk imaging can take a long time, especially if you are creating a compressed or encrypted disk image. You can continue to use your Macintosh during this time, but it will run more slowly due to the disk access required by the imaging.

How to Reattach Keys to a MacBook (3 Steps)

Remove the plastic connector from the back of the key that has fallen off. The reason keys come off of keyboards is because the connectors have somehow wiggled out of place, allowing the key to fall off. Use a small screwdriver to pry to connector off of the back of the key.
Attach the connector back on the keyboard. The side of the connector with the two small holes in the corners is the left side of the connector. This will give you some orientation on how to place the connector on the keyboard. Place the connector on the keyboard so the small holes are on the left side. You will notice that these small holes line up with two metal tabs on the keyboard. Use the screwdriver push connector until the holes connect with the metal tabs.
Place the key back on the keyboard. Gently apply pressure from right to left until the key is back on the keyboard and snaps it into place. You should hear and feel the key connecting back to the keyboard. Type with the key to make sure it works properly and is fully attached.

How Do I Hook My Mac to My Mixer Board?

Connect the mixer board to other instruments, microphones or sources you want to use in the recoding. Connect the power source to the mixer. Connect the amplifier and speakers to the mixer board as well.
Connect the small end of the 3.5mm-to-RCA cable to the line-out jack on the back of the Mac computer or on the side if a MacBook. On many Macs, the line-out port has a green ring around it and might be the connection used for your computer speakers if you are using a desktop computer. Other Macs have a headphone or audio-wave symbol next to the port to differentiate it from line-in or microphone ports. Disconnect the speakers from your computer if the port is already in use.
Connect the other end of the audio cable to the RCA line-in or auxiliary jacks on the mixer. If the mixer does not have RCA ports, use an RCA-to-1/4-inch adapter to connect the Mac to the mixer board.
Open an audio or music player application on the Mac. Load an audio file into the player, then click 'Play.' You should be able to hear the sound on the external speakers connected to the amplifier plugged into the mixer board.
