How to Uninstall Programs on Mac Computers


Click the Launchpad icon from the Dock at the bottom or side of your computer.
Locate the icon for the application you want to remove from the Launchpad screen, and then click or tap and hold down on the application icon. This will cause all the icons on the Launchpad screen to wobble.
Click or tap the 'X' on the icon of the application you want to remove. This will remove the application.

How to Disable Sleep Mode on a MacBook (8 Steps)


Click on the 'System Preferences' icon in the dock on the bottom of the screen.
Click on 'Energy Saver' (lightbulb icon) in the System Preferences window.
Click and hold the slider on the sliding scale labeled 'Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive for:' and slide it all the way to the right, to 'Never.' This sets the sleep preference for your current power source, either battery or power adapter.
Click on the drop-down menu labeled 'Settings for' at the top of the window, and select the power source you are currently not using. Then repeat step 3. This will ensure that your Macbook will not go to sleep on its own whatever power source you are using.

Adjusting the Accelerometer on an iPad (10 Steps)


Tap the “Settings” app on your home screen to display the Settings split screen.
Tap “General” on the left pane to reveal settings controls on the right. Skim down to the “Use Side Switch to:” section.
Tap “Lock Rotation” to enable the feature. A check mark indicates your selection.
Press the “Home” to return to your home screen. Hold your iPad upright or sideways to view your iPad’s display in the orientation you prefer.
Push the side switch downward to fix your orientation and prevent your accelerometer from changing it. The switch reveals a red dot on its upper portion, and a small circle-arrow icon displays beside the battery indicator on the status bar.

How to Use the Apple Service Diagnostic Disk (3 Steps)


Shut down your Mac.
Restart your computer with the Apple Service Diagnostic disc: shut down your computer, insert the disc into your computer's drive, then restart your computer and hold the 'Option' key as it boots up.
Wait for your screen to display the Apple Diagnostic Screen, then select the type of diagnostic test you would like to run. Press 'Enter' and your computer will reboot and run the test. This usually takes a few minutes.

How to Save iPhoto to a Flash Drive (10 Steps)


Connect your flash drive to a USB port on your Mac.
Launch the iPhoto application by clicking on the dock icon.
Go to the 'Events' or 'Photos' tabs on the left side of the window underneath the 'Library' heading to locate the pictures you want to export.
Highlight the photo or photos you want to save onto the flash drive. To highlight multiple photos, hold down the 'shift' key and click on each one.
Open the 'File' menu at the top of the screen and choose 'Export.'
Go to the 'File Export' tab in the dialog window that appears.
Use the 'Kind' drop-down menu to select the format in which you want to export the photos. The default format is JPEG.
Select the desired photo quality and size settings and then press the 'Export' button.
Click on the name of your USB flash drive from the 'Devices' list on the left side of the pop-up window.
Press the 'OK' button to export the selected images from your iPhoto library onto your flash drive.

How to Delete Multiple Messages in AOL Mail


Log into your AOL Mail account (see Resources).
Press and hold the 'Ctrl' key, and click all the emails you want to delete if you want to remove non-consecutive emails. If you want to delete consecutive emails, press and hold the 'Shift' key and click the first email you want to delete. Hold the 'Shift' key again and click the last email you want to delete. This selects all the emails between the first and last email you selected.
Click the 'Delete' button and then click 'OK' to confirm your selection.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 if you want to delete multiple emails from the 'Saved on AOL' and 'Saved on My PC' folders.
Click the 'Mail' menu and click 'Recently Deleted Mail' if you want to clear multiple emails from the 'Recently Deleted' folder.
Press and hold the 'Ctrl' key and click all the emails you want to delete if you want to remove non-consecutive emails. If you want to delete consecutive emails, press and hold the 'Shift' key and click the first email you want to delete. Hold the 'Shift' key again and click the last email you want to delete. This selects all the emails between the first and last email you selected.
Click the 'Permanently Delete' button.

How to Remove the Flash Drive From a MacBook (4 Steps)


Click on the 'Desktop' icon in the Finder.
Click on the icon of the flash drive and hold the trackpad button down as you drag the icon to the Trash folder in the Dock. The Dock is located along the bottom of the MacBook screen by default, but it can also be on the right or left side.
Drop the flash drive icon on the Trash folder to unmount it from the Desktop.
Remove the flash drive from the USB port of the MacBook.

How to Lock Screen Rotation on the iPad (3 Steps)


Hold the iPad in the configuration, portrait or landscape, in which you want to lock the screen.
Locate the screen rotation lock switch, directly above the volume controls on the right hand side of the iPad (when viewed with the Home button on the bottom).
Switch the screen rotation lock button to the down, or locked, position to prevent the screen from rotating with the iPad. When the lock is activated, a lock icon appears at the top of the screen.

How to Delete Document History on a Mac


Click on the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Scroll down to the 'Recent Items' tab. Hold the mouse arrow over the tab and a list of the most recent applications and documents you have opened will appear.
Scroll the mouse arrow down the list to the bottom of the pop-up tab. You should see an option that says 'Clear Menu' at the very bottom of the tab. Click on the 'Clear Menu' button. This will automatically delete your document history.
Check to make sure your history is cleared. Click on the Apple icon again and scroll down to the 'Recent Items' tab once more. Hold the mouse arrow over the tab and a pop-up list appears. The list of recently used applications and documents should now be empty.
Make sure to delete the downloaded document history as well. A download history pop-up box appears every time you download a document from the Internet using a Mac computer. This box shows all the most recent documents you have downloaded. Click on the 'Clear List' tab in the bottom left-hand corner of the box to delete your document download history.

How to Make a Folder File on My Mac Desktop


Access the desktop of your computer. You may need to minimize any open program windows or switch to an empty desktop screen if you have the Mac's Spaces feature enabled.
Pres and hold the Ctrl key and click the desktop background. Ctrl + click is the basic command that provides many of the same options as a right-click in Windows.
Select 'New Folder.' A new, untitled folder immediately appears on the desktop. Click the folder and press Return to rename the folder.

How to Free Up Virtual Memory on a Mac (3 Steps)


Hold down the Command button and hit the Tab key. All currently open applications will appear in a stripe of icons across the center of your screen. Continue to hold the Command button, and tab to each application you are not using, then hit the “Q” key to quit it. The application tab bar will remain on the screen until you release the Command key. (This can also be done from the Dock, but the Command-Tab method is much faster.)
Select “Log Out” from the Apple menu to return to the log-in screen of your Macintosh. All currently running user applications will quit, but background processes on your Macintosh will continue. This will free up more memory than the individual application method in Step 1.
Restart your Macintosh from the Apple menu, or by pressing the Power button and clicking the Restart button. This will clear out all of your virtual memory and start your memory over from scratch when your Macintosh finishes restarting.

How to Connect My Sennheiser Bluetooth Headphones to My MacBook Pro


Open the cover located on the left earcup of the headphones. Connect one end of the charging cable to the socket installed in the earcup. Connect the remaining end of the cable to one of the USB ports located on the left side of the MacBook Pro. Allow the battery to charge for three hours before proceeding.
Disconnect the charging cable from the headphones and computer. Close the cover on the left earcup. Hold down the button installed in the center of the right earcup until the surrounding LED blinks red three times. Press the button again until the LED blinks blue and red in alternating order.
Click on the Bluetooth icon located on the left side of the computer's menu bar. Select the option labeled 'Set Up Bluetooth Device.' Select the headphones from the list of entries and follow the onscreen instructions; when prompted for a passcode, input '0000.'
Check the LED on the right earcup; if the LED is blue, a connection has been established. Repeat steps one through three if the LED is blinking red. Put the headphones on and play a piece of audio to confirm that the device is working.
Locate the two buttons installed near the bottom edge of the right earcup. Press the left button if you wish to toggle the Bluetooth connection on and off. Press the right button if you wish to activate the 'NoiseGard' feature. Press the buttons installed around the LED on the right earcup to adjust the playback volume.

How to Connect a Laptop to an ELMO Projector (9 Steps)


Turn on the projector's power switch to warm up the lamp. Then lower the projector screen, unless projecting to a blank wall.
Raise the side lamps on the ELMO desk projector to the upright, locked position.
Press and hold the lever switch that controls the video displayer rod, on the round base on the ELMO projector. Then raise the video displayer rod to the upright position as far as it will go.
Press the 'Power' toggle switch on the ELMO.
Press the 'Computer' button on the remote control repeatedly until the ELMO displays on the projector screen.
Attach the VGA plug on one end of the cable to the matching port on the back or edge of the laptop. The wide edge of the plug should face upward. Turn the lock screw on each side of the VGA plug to hold it securely to the laptop.
Hook up the other end of the cable to the VGA port on the back connection panel of the ELMO projector. Tighten the lock screws to prevent the cable from pulling out.
Press the 'RGB1' button on the ELMO under the 'Input' section of the control panel.
Press the 'Fn' (function) key on the laptop and one of the F1 through F8 keys to toggle the laptop to work with an external projector. The key varies on different laptop models. Look for the small icon of a monitor screen on one of the F1 through F8 keys. You might have to press and release the 'Fn' and the numbered 'F' key several times while the laptop cycles through the various possible external monitor connections.

How to Delete Favorites in the Facebook App for iPhone

How to Reboot or Reset An iPad


Restart the iPad before attempting a reset. Push the 'Sleep/Wake' button located on the top-right edge of the iPad when viewed in portrait mode. Hold it until a red slider appears at the top of the screen. Slide your finger over the slider to turn the device off. Wait 10 seconds. Turn it back on by pushing the 'Sleep/Wake' button again.
Press and hold the 'Sleep/Wake' button and the 'Home' button, which is centered under the screen, simultaneously to reset the iPad. Hold the buttons for at least 10 seconds. An Apple logo appears on the screen, and the reset is complete.
Tap 'Settings' on the home screen of the iPad. Tap 'General' in the left column and 'Reset' at the bottom of the right column to reset all the settings on the iPad. Your files and data are not deleted.
