How to Show a Superdrive on a Mac Desktop

Turn on the Mac. For laptops such as the MacBook Pro and all-in-one desktops such as the iMac, the Superdrive is located on the right side of the casing. For the 'Mac Pro' desktop computer, the drive is located on the upper section of the front panel.
Position the CD or DVD with the label side face up and gently push the disc into the Superdrive slot. You will feel the drive turn on and begin to pull the disc in.
Wait a few seconds. You will hear the drive start spinning the disc to read the disc contents. Go to the desktop either by using one of the 'hot corners,' moving your mouse cursor to one of the four corners of the screen or by clicking 'Finder' in the 'Dock' followed by 'Desktop.'
Look around the desktop for an icon of a CD. Depending on the contents or type of disc inserted, the icon will be a blank silver looking disc or a disc shaped image related to the disc contents. As long as the disc is inside the Superdrive, the drive will be viewable on the Mac desktop.

How to Scroll Within the Frame on an iPad (4 Steps)

Launch the iPad's Web browser or frame-equipped application by tapping its icon on the home screen.
Navigate to the Web page or section of the app that uses frames, either by tapping the relevant buttons or by entering a URL in the Web browser's address bar.

How to Connect an Acer Monitor to a MacBook

Look at the ports on the left side of the MacBook and the back of the Acer monitor. A MacBook can be connected to an external monitor that has either a DVI or VGA port. The ports on the monitor will either be labeled or have a corresponding icon next to them. If you are unsure what an icon means, look in the 'Features' section of your user manual. Make sure your Acer monitor model has the correct port.
Plug one end of the connection cable into the monitor and the other end into the MacBook. If you are using a DVI cable connection, plug each end directly into each device. If you are using a VGA cable connection, you have to use the mini-DVI-to-VGA adapter that comes with your MacBook. Plug one end of the VGA cable into the VGA end of the adapter and insert the adapter DVI end into the laptop. Plug the other end of the VGA cable into the monitor.
Turn on both devices. After your MacBook powers up, it will automatically detect and display the desktop on both screens. Your Acer monitor is now ready for configuration.
Click on the 'Apple' icon on the top left corner of the desktop. From the drop-down list, select 'System Preferences' followed by 'Display.' A new 'Display' window will appear that has the available options that can be changed. For example, you can change the screen resolution of the Acer monitor, change the arrangement of the displays and whether you want to mirror the MacBook's display, or extend the desktop to the Acer monitor.

How to Use Microsoft Word for Mac

Open Microsoft Word by double-clicking on the icon. A new document will automatically be created for you, entitled 'Document 1.'
Determine the layout and size of your document. Go to 'File' in the top navigational menu. Select 'Page setup... .' The standard paper size is US letter (8.5 inches wide and 11 inches high). The new document that Word created for you is automatically this size. If you would like to change your document size, go to the 'Paper Size' section and choose your preferred size from the drop-down menu. Your new document is also in Portrait mode, which means the height is longer than the width. To change this, go to the 'Orientation' section and select the icon that shows the width being longer than the height. This will convert your document to Landscape mode.
Setup your workspace. Go to the icon menu bar at the top of your document. Select 'Toolbox.' A formatting palette should open to the right of your document. This contains the most commonly used tool options, such as font styles and sizes, alignment and spacing, borders, bullets, margins, as well as reference tools such as a thesaurus or dictionary. If you want to zoom in and out of your document, go back to the icon menu bar and select your desired percentage from the 'Zoom' drop-down menu to make the document easily readable for your eyes.
Decide what you would like to use your new document for. Microsoft Word is a highly versatile and flexible program; you can use it to write simple letters and correspondence or use it as a note-taking application. You can also use it to write reports, a blog post or a newsletter. Word's graphic tools allow you to make larger creative projects such as fliers, posters or banners.
Get started with project templates. To help you first figure out Word's complete tools and options, start with one of the many templates that is included with Word. Go to 'File' and select 'Project Gallery... .' Browse through the templates offered for both home and business users. Select the template you like and click 'Open.' When your new document opens, experiment with different colors, fonts and layouts to get comfortable with Microsoft Word's options.
