How to Connect an Acer Monitor to a MacBook
Look at the ports on the left side of the MacBook and the back of the Acer monitor. A MacBook can be connected to an external monitor that has either a DVI or VGA port. The ports on the monitor will either be labeled or have a corresponding icon next to them. If you are unsure what an icon means, look in the 'Features' section of your user manual. Make sure your Acer monitor model has the correct port.
Plug one end of the connection cable into the monitor and the other end into the MacBook. If you are using a DVI cable connection, plug each end directly into each device. If you are using a VGA cable connection, you have to use the mini-DVI-to-VGA adapter that comes with your MacBook. Plug one end of the VGA cable into the VGA end of the adapter and insert the adapter DVI end into the laptop. Plug the other end of the VGA cable into the monitor.
Turn on both devices. After your MacBook powers up, it will automatically detect and display the desktop on both screens. Your Acer monitor is now ready for configuration.
Click on the 'Apple' icon on the top left corner of the desktop. From the drop-down list, select 'System Preferences' followed by 'Display.' A new 'Display' window will appear that has the available options that can be changed. For example, you can change the screen resolution of the Acer monitor, change the arrangement of the displays and whether you want to mirror the MacBook's display, or extend the desktop to the Acer monitor.

Reload the page to clear a server error. Sometimes the server errors are simply a result of a page that has loaded poorly.
Close the browser window and open up another one to access the same page. It could be that your page was not loading correctly.
Delete your temporary internet files and clear your cache. This should clear any server errors that remain.

How to watch movies on TV using Mac with Mini DisplayPort
First, you will need to purchase the Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA converter (link is in resource section). This will enable you to connect your MacBook Pro to a VGA to RCA or S-Video connection.
The next step is to purchase a VGA to RCA or S-Video converter. An example of this product can be seen in the resource section below. There are many manufacturers that have similar converter products, any of which can be used to convert the VGA signal to RCA or S-Video.
Last, you will need to purchase a cable that connects the audio output from your MacBook Pro to your TV left & right audio inputs.
Connect the Mini DisplayPort to VGA adaptor to your MacBook Pro, then connect a VGA cable between the DisplayPort adaptor and the VGA converter. Now connect the VGA converter to either a RCA cable or S-Video cable, and plug that cable into your TV. The final step is to plug the audio cable into your MacBook Pro and TV. Now either launch your web browser or iTunes application on your computer, browse to your favorite movie, download and begin watching on your big screen TV.

How to Connect the AC Adapter for a MacBook Pro
Align the smaller end of the MacBook Pro's MagSafe AC adapter with the plug on the upper left corner of the laptop. The connector has a set of five copper pins that match up with five holes in the plug.
Let go of the connector so that it 'drops' into place. Unlike other AC adapters, the MagSafe adapter has a magnetic edge that forms a connection with the AC port on the MacBook Pro. You don't need to push the MagSafe adapter in. As long as you line it up with the plug it should attach to the computer by itself.Apple designed the MagSafe adapter this way to protect your laptop in the event someone trips over the cord. If you pull on the power cord too much it will disconnect from your MacBook Pro. Other AC adapters can pull on laptops and drag them to the floor.
Plug the power brick on the other end of the AC adapter into an electrical outlet. Pull out the two white prongs on the back end of the power brick and wrap any excess cable around them if you so desire.
Install the extension cable that came with your MacBook Pro if the cable is too short. Unplug the MagSafe adapter from the wall. Grip the two-pronged metal plug on the front of the power brick and pull upward to remove it. The MagSafe adapter has a removable plug so that you can install a variety of adapters. Replace the plug with the three-pronged extension cable. Simply insert it where the two-pronged plug was and push down. Plug the three-pronged end of the extension cable into the wall.
Grip the MagSafe connector and wobble it left, right, up or down to unplug it from your MacBook Pro. Do not pull on the cable or pull the connector straight out as this places more wear and tear on the device.
