How to Connect iPhone to New Mac


Click the Mac logo on the toolbar and then click 'Software Update.'
Click 'iTunes' from the list of available updates, then click 'Update.'
Connect your iPhone with the USB cable to your Mac. iTunes will automatically open.
Click 'iPhone' from the 'Devices' list on the left panel of iTunes. Click 'Check for Updates' and then click 'Download' if any are available.
Click the tick boxes next to the 'Options' that you want to enable. If you have a large amount of music or video in your iTunes library, make sure you select 'Sync only checked songs and videos,' and 'Manually manage music and videos,' so that you have complete control over what you transfer. Click 'Apply' to complete setting up your iPhone with your new Mac.

How to Update the Drivers in a MacBook Pro 8600M GT


Click the Apple button in the upper left corner of your MacBook Pro screen. Select 'Software Update...' from the menu that appears. Your Mac will check for available updates, including video card drivers.
Select 'Show Details' in the window that appears to see a list of updates. If there is a driver update available for your Nvidia 8600M GT video card, you will see it on the list. All available updates are checked off for installation by default, but you can uncheck any you don't want to install.
Press 'Install Items' at the bottom of the window. Mac OS X will install the updates you selected, including new video card drivers. Your MacBook Pro may prompt you to enter a password, and you may need to restart your system after installation.

How to Update Firmware on a Mac OS X


Click the Apple menu and select 'Software Update' from the drop-down menu. This launches the App Store and automatically sends you to the Updates section. Provide an administrator username and password, if you receive a prompt requesting the information.
Click the 'More' button next to any OS X Update package in the Update section and read the update description to see if any OS X Update packages contain the latest firmware.
Select the 'Update' button next to any options that contain firmware updates. Alternatively, click the 'Update All' button to update all available software. You may need to provide your administrator username and password again.

How to Fix Error 21 on an iPad


Make sure you're logged in to your computer with an administrative account. If you're not certain, log out and then log in with an admin account.
Update to the latest version of iTunes on your computer by clicking the iTunes 'Help' menu and selecting 'Check for Updates.' If you don't see the Help menu, press 'Ctrl-B' on the keyboard to reveal the Menu bar.
Update Windows. If you don't have Windows' default automatic updates enabled, install any updates manually. Press the 'Windows' key from the Start screen, select 'Settings and then 'Change PC Settings.' Select 'Update and Recovery,' followed by 'Windows Update.' Click 'Check Now.' If there is an update available, follow the onscreen prompts to install it.
Confirm that any security software you installed on your computer is up to date. Windows security software is updated when you do a Windows update.
Unplug all USB devices connected to your computer except for the keyboard and mouse. Examine the iPad's Lightning cable to ensure it is in good repair and then plug it in to a USB port you know is working properly on the computer .
Restart the computer and the iPad. Launch iTunes and try to update or restore the iPad.

How to Update a MacBook Pro


Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the desktop to access the Apple menu. Select 'Software Update...' It is the second choice on the menu. This loads the Software Update application and checks for available updates. You must have an Internet connection to view and download updates.
Click 'Install' to install updates if OS X indicates they are available. Choose 'Show Details' if you want to see more information about updates or manually select the updates you wish to install. You may need to enter your password to install certain updates.
Click 'OK' and 'Quit' after the updates are done installing. You may need to restart your MacBook Pro.
Click 'Quit' if you receive a prompt stating that your MacBook Pro is up to date. Check for updates frequently to keep your computer safe.
