How to Transfer Videos From a DVR to an iPod

Turn on your DVR and scroll through the video you would like to record. Connect the RCA cables from the DVR output to your computer. Make sure that you are going from the highest output of your DVR to the input of your computer.
Start your computer's capture software (see Resources section). Make sure that the capture software is picking up the video signal properly and that there are no glitches in the picture.
Start recording on your capture software. Start the video that you would like to record from your DVR and look for it on your computer. Wait until it has finished.
Stop the recording software after the program has concluded. Save the file to the desktop on your computer for future reference.
Open your video editing software (see Resources section) and wait for it to load. Click on the 'File' menu and then 'Open.' Open the file that you just recorded and let it upload to your editing software.
Click on the 'Convert' tab in your editing software and transcribe the video format to MPEG-4 format. If you do not put the video into MPEG-4 format, your iPod will not be able to read it. Wait for the video to encode.
Plug your iPod into the USB port of your computer. Open iTunes and wait for the iPod icon to mount on the left side of the iTunes window.
Go back to your editing software and save the file to your desktop with a new name, like 'Final Video.' Drag the video from the desktop to iTunes and wait for it to upload to the video folder.
Drag the video from the video folder of iTunes to the video folder of your iPod. Wait for it to transfer over.
Eject your iPod from your computer and scroll through to make sure the video transferred successfully.

How to Troubleshoot an Apple Computer Full Screen Display

Check the resolution of the screen. If things are just looking funny and out of proportion, then you have either accidentally zoomed in on your screen or changed the resolution. To change the resolution, click the Apple icon at the top left part of the menu bar, then 'System Preferences' and then click on the Display icon. There you can change the displays to find the one that you want to go back to. If the display and resolution settings do not work, try holding Command and swipe downward on the track pad. This should zoom out from your screen to the standard resolution and setting.
If you're using a laptop, connect to a power source. If your computer does not show any picture on the display, then you may be near the end of your battery life. See if restarting your computer helps. Hold the power button and the 'Control' and 'Command' keys simultaneously for several seconds.
Reset the PRAM, which is done by pressing the power button to turn the computer on and then immediately pressing 'Command,' 'Option,' 'P,' and 'R' until you have cycled through three start-up chimes. Resetting the PRAM is useful for any type of troubleshooting because it resets your computer to the original factory settings. This is often one of the first troubleshooting techniques that Apple certified maintenance technicians will try on a computer.
Reset the SMC for laptops by removing the power supply, removing the battery, and then holding the power button for five seconds. This is an additional option that resets your computer. If it still does not work and your computer does not properly show your display screen or if it does not boot up at all then you may have a more serious issue.
Consult your owner's manual for further tests that you can undertake such as the hard-drive test or checking the hardware and software of the computer through a Disk Utility check, which is done by utilizing the installation disks.
Call the Apple Service hotline or schedule an appointment at the nearest Apple retail store or an authorized service provider. The number for Apple support is (800) 275-2273. Or go to Apple's website (then link is included in Resources).

Select 'System Preferences' from the Apple menu to prepare your computer for the wallpaper download. This menu leads you to an icon called 'Desktop,' which allows you to manage every aspect of your Mac's appearance.
Save pictures and images that you download for use as wallpaper in the 'Picture' file so you can access them easily on your Mac. You can access your documents from the 'Finder' icon on the 'Dock' menu along the side of your screen.
Upload photos from your digital camera onto your Mac to increase the potential wallpapers for your desktop. You can connect the memory card into your Mac's USB port and access the appropriate drive through the Mac 'Finder.'
Click twice on the 'Photo' file and double click again on the appropriate photo to complete editing before using it as wallpaper. Your photo will pop up in your default photo editor and you can use the Mac's resolution limitations to establish boundaries for your creativity.
Access 'iTunes' through your Mac to locate album covers, art and other materials promoted through Apple for download as wallpaper. Apple will occasionally place images ready for use as wallpapers up on 'iTunes,' but you can also copy images directly from its website (see Resources below).
Search for seasonal or special wallpapers for your Mac through Apple's Downloads page (see Resources below). This page offers safe and complete wallpaper files ranging from promotional wallpapers for artists to backgrounds related to upcoming holidays.
