How to Transfer Video From DirecTV DVR to a Mac

Set your DirectTV DVR to record the program that you are interested in viewing. This will allow the show you want to transfer to be recorded as a digital video file on your DVR.
Connect the audio and video transmitter device to the 'SAT Out' output on your DirectTV DVR. This device allows for a smooth and high-quality transition. Any device that will allow a streaming signal to capture the digital video from the DVR and send it to your Mac will work. There are very few devices created for this purpose on the market.
Connect the FireWire cable from the FireWire output on the video and audio DVR transmitter device to the FireWire input on your Mac. This will allow the device that just downloaded the video file from the DVR to transfer that file in a usable form to your Mac computer for viewing.
Check the file that is created on your Mac to make sure the video and audio transferred from the DVR to the final file now on your Mac. Sometimes video or audio can get distorted in the transfer and before the cables are disconnected a test will save time and hassle.
Load the file in the video player installed on your Mac computer and enjoy the recorded DVR file on your computer.

How Do I Troubleshoot IPad Touch Screen Problems?

Restart your iPad to clear out any temporary software glitches or bugs. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for ten seconds to force a device shutdown. Press the Sleep/Wake button again to turn the iPad back on; check the touchscreen after the device finishes rebooting.
Clean the iPad screen to remove dust or debris that could be causing touchscreen problems. Power down the tablet and gently wipe the screen with a damp microfiber cloth, then turn the device back on and recheck the screen. Even a small water droplet can interfere with the touchscreen’s ability to accurately read touch gestures.
Open the Maps application. Double-tap the center of the map as well as each corner to troubleshoot whether your iPad’s touchscreen problems are universal or specific to one area of the screen. This is especially useful if you notice that one application has touch problems in a certain area; testing in Maps will let you know if it is the touchscreen or the app that is experiencing problems.

How to Connect a Laptop to Sony Bravia (4 Steps)

Decide whether you will use a VGA or DVI cable. If your laptop has a DVI port, use it as it delivers better graphics than the VGA. If it does not have a DVI port, use the VGA cable. Note that the instructions are the same regardless of what cable you use.
Connect the cable to the laptop's port, then connect it to the Sony Bravia. The ports for both devices are typically found in the back of the device. Be sure that both ends of the cable are secured to the ports.
Change the input display on the Sony Bravia to the input that corresponds to the port you are using.
Set your laptop to display using the DVI or VGA port. Typically, you would press the 'Fn' key followed by the key that shows a laptop display on it. This will display the laptop on the Bravia.
