Optimize display settings on your MacBook. Click the 'Apple' menu followed by 'System Preferences.' Click 'Displays' under the 'Hardware' menu. Click the 'Detect Displays' and the MacBook automatically detects the LCD TV and optimizes the display settings.

How to Use an iPhone as an Apple TV Remote

Turn on your iPhone and launch the App Store via the 'App Store' icon. This is the blue icon that is located by default on the bottom row of icons on the home screen of your iPhone. It will be listed literally as 'App Store.'
Search for the Remote app by typing 'Remote' into the App Store's search bar. Choose to install this app on your iPhone. You will have to input your iTunes username and password to confirm the installation procedure.
Turn on Home Sharing within iTunes. Click on the 'Home Sharing' listing on the left navigation screen within iTunes once you have launched the iTunes program.
Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted.
Connect your iPhone to your home Wi-Fi network. If you do not already have this connection established, click on the 'Settings' icon of your iPhone.
Click on the second listing within 'Settings' that reads 'Wi-Fi - Not Connected.' Ensure that the 'Wi-Fi' setting within this listing is switched to 'On.'
Select a network in the 'Choose a Network...' field. There will likely be more than one listing here. Be sure to select your home Wi-Fi network. This will connect you to Wi-Fi. If your Wi-Fi network is password protected, when selecting it for use, you will need to input this password into your iPhone.
Launch the Remote app and sign into Home Sharing when prompted using your iTunes ID and password.
Control your Apple TV by using your iPhone as the remote with the Remote app now launched and Home Sharing and Wi-Fi enabled. The Remote app uses an interface that is identical to how you navigate and browse videos on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, so finding and purchasing movies and controlling them on your Apple TV will be immediately intuitive. You can back out of the Remote app and resume normal use of your phone whenever you like. The physical remote that ships with the Apple TV can still also be used.

How to Take Notes on an iPad With a Pen Stylus

Download a note-taking app from the App Store and allow it to install on your iPad, if you have not done so already.
Read the in-app instructions to find out how to move around between pages without affecting your handwritten notes. For example, normal swipe gestures for scrolling may be taken as pen input when you are in handwriting mode, so you may need to use two-finger swipes or other gestures to navigate.
Read any other in-app instructions that describe your app's handwriting input functions.
Locate the app's 'wrist guard,' 'palm pad' or similar feature. This is a feature that lets the iPad respond to your stylus input while ignoring the pressure of the side of your hand resting on the page as you write in a natural position. Turn the feature on or position it as necessary, depending on your app's internal instructions.
Hold your stylus as you would a normal pen or pencil and rest your hand on the wrist guard/palm pad area if one is specified. Only iPad-specific styluses may work on the iPad. If you have a stylus for certain smartphones with reactive rather than capacitive touchscreens, those styluses will not work for the iPad.
Write your notes as you normally would with a pen. Some apps have a handwriting input panel that allows you to write in large strokes, and then shrinks the notes to a more compact, readable form. Try using that feature for the clearest handwriting results if your app supports it.

How to Output iRig to Amp (9 Steps)

Connect the other end of this cable to the 1/4-inch jack on the bottom of the supplied hardware adapter. There are two jacks on the adapter, the 1/4-inch jack is the largest.
Connect the audio connector end of the adapter to the audio port on your iPhone or iPad.
Connect a the 3.5mm end of a 3.5mm-to-6.5mm cable to the 3.5mm output socket on the top of the hardware adapter.
Connect the 6.5mm end to the input on your guitar amp. A 6.5mm connector is also referred to as an 'instrument jack' or '1/4-inch jack.'
Turn the 'Master Volume' dial on your guitar to zero. It's always smart to turn the volume to zero before turning on your amp. This is especially true if you are introducing a new piece of equipment to your rig.
Turn the amplifier on. If using a tube amplifier, put it in standby mode for two minutes before putting the power fully on. This lets the tubes warm up.
Turn off any on-board effects, such as reverb, distortion or overdrive. Because the iRig app features an array of effects, it's preferable to set your amp to as clean a sound as possible so the overall tone isn't muddied by having too many effects.
Launch the iRig app on your iPhone or iPad. Select a sound option from the visual interface by tapping the screen.
Increase the amplifier volume to your preferred level.

How to Test a MagSafe DC

Turn the laptop on. Let the desktop appear on the screen. Shut down the laptop once the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen states that there is less than 50% power remaining.
Rotate the laptop counterclockwise so that you can see the MagSafe DC-input depression at the upper left inside edge.
Plug the power cord attached to the MagSafe’s power supply into a wall outlet. Place the MagSafe connector up against the depression. Let go once you feel the magnetic attraction that is holding the MagSafe connector against the depression.
Turn the laptop on. Do nothing until the laptop’s operating system brings up the desktop. Note that the icon of the battery in the upper right corner of the screen is displaying a “lightning” slash through the battery icon. Write down the percentage of battery power being displayed.
Leave the laptop undisturbed for an hour. Note whether the percentage of the battery power has increased or not. If there is no increase in the percentage, the laptop’s DC-input board is not receiving any electricity from the MagSafe connector. If the percentage has increased, the opposite is true.
