How to Connect a Mac to a Plasma TV

Plug the Display Port end of the Display Port to HDMI cable into your Mac. If you own an Mac laptop, the Display Port is located on the left side of the computer; on a iMac desktop, the display port is located on the back of the computer.
Connect the HDMI end of the cable into your plasma TV. The HDMI input is probably located on the back of your plasma.
Change your plasma TV's video input source by pressing the 'Source' or 'Input' button on the remote control for your TV. Press the button until you reach the HDMI input that your Mac is connected to.
Change your display settings on your Mac. Click the 'Apple' menu in the upper-left corner of your Mac and select 'System Preferences.' Click the 'Displays' icon under 'Hardware.' Then press 'Detect Displays' to optimize the display settings.
