How to Make Emoticons Bigger (4 Steps)

Enlarge an emoticon in Microsoft Word by scrolling to the section of text and highlighting it with the cursor. Right-click and select 'Font.' From the 'Font' window, choose the 'Size' menu and scroll to a larger number, such as going from 14 to 18.
Increase the size of an emoticon in Adobe Photoshop by opening a Photoshop file (text that has been flattened into a graphics file isn't able to be enlarged) and pulling down the 'Window' menu. Select 'Layers' to open the 'Layers' palette. Double-click the text layer with the emoticon, symbolized by a 'T' in a white square. The emoticon becomes highlighted. Use the text toolbar at the top of the screen to select a bigger font size for the emoticon, which changes on the screen.
Change emoticon size in Microsoft Publisher by navigating to the emoticon and clicking its text box; text in a Publisher document is always encased in text boxes. Highlight the emoticon within the text box. Click the 'Home' tab at the top of the screen. Pull down the text size menu and select a larger text size for the emoticon.
Resize an emoticon in Windows Paint by opening the software and clicking the text tool, which looks like an 'A' on the 'Tools' section of the ribbon. Click the document and select a font and text size for the emoticon. Type the emoticon. Highlight the emoticon and use the font size selection drop-down menu to make the emoticon bigger.
