How to Connect a MacBook to an LCD TV (6 Steps)

Determine what video cable you need for your MacBook. Older plastic MacBooks require a mini DVI to HDMI adapter and aluminum MacBooks require a mini display port to HDMI adapter. Also, 2009 plastic MacBooks use the mini display port to HDMI cable.
Plug one end of the video adapter into the video output jack of your MacBook. The video output port is on the left hand side of your MacBook.
Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the opposite end of the video adapter.
Connect the opposite end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI input jack of your LCD TV. This is usually located on one of the sides or the back of most LCD TVs.
Change the video input source on your TV to the input that your computer is plugged into. Press the 'Source' or 'Input' button on your remote control to change the video input source.
Optimize display settings on your MacBook. Click the 'Apple' menu followed by 'System Preferences.' Click 'Displays' under the 'Hardware' menu. Click the 'Detect Displays' and the MacBook automatically detects the LCD TV and optimizes the display settings.

How Do I Hook My Mac to My Mixer Board?

Connect the mixer board to other instruments, microphones or sources you want to use in the recoding. Connect the power source to the mixer. Connect the amplifier and speakers to the mixer board as well.
Connect the small end of the 3.5mm-to-RCA cable to the line-out jack on the back of the Mac computer or on the side if a MacBook. On many Macs, the line-out port has a green ring around it and might be the connection used for your computer speakers if you are using a desktop computer. Other Macs have a headphone or audio-wave symbol next to the port to differentiate it from line-in or microphone ports. Disconnect the speakers from your computer if the port is already in use.
Connect the other end of the audio cable to the RCA line-in or auxiliary jacks on the mixer. If the mixer does not have RCA ports, use an RCA-to-1/4-inch adapter to connect the Mac to the mixer board.
Open an audio or music player application on the Mac. Load an audio file into the player, then click 'Play.' You should be able to hear the sound on the external speakers connected to the amplifier plugged into the mixer board.

How to Connect a Mac Computer to the Internet

Sign up for service with an Internet Service Provider, such as your local cable or phone company. It will charge you a monthly fee for this and will probably provide the cable modem (router) or DSL hardware that you need.
Connect your cable modem to your coaxial cable jack in your home or connect your DSL to your phone line. If you are using DSL, attach filters to every phone that is on a jack. These would have been provided with your modem by your ISP.
Connect the modem to the Ethernet port on your Mac using an Ethernet cable. Then turn on the modem if it isn't already on.
Click the Apple Menu and choose 'System Preferences' and then 'Network.' Under 'Show,' choose 'Built In Ethernet' from the drop-down box.
Click the 'TCP/IP' tab and under 'Configure IPV4' choose 'DHCP.'
Click 'Apply Now' at the bottom of the dialog box. This is usually all you have to do to get connected to the Internet on a Mac.
