How to Connect a Mac PC to One Monitor (4 Steps)

Check your monitor for input ports. If it has a VGA and a DVI input port, your task is easy. Your PC likely has a VGA output; connect one end of the cable to that and the other end to the port on the monitor. If your MAC has a DVI output port, connect one end of the DVI cable to the Mac and the other end to the monitor. Use the 'input type' button on the monitor to switch back and forth between the PC (analog) and Mac (digital) displays. If your Mac has a mini DVI input (common on some Macbooks and Minis), you'll need to connect the cable to it through a mini DVI-to-DVI adapter. If your monitor has only one input port, you'll need to follow steps using a KVM (which stands for keyboard, video, mouse) switch.
Connect the KVM switch to your monitor using a VGA cable. Different brands will vary, but usually there will be an indicator as to where the monitor input cable goes.
Connect one of the output VGA cables to your PC. Connect the other to your Mac. Depending on the type of video output port on your Mac, you may need an adapter to connect the VGA cable from the KVM switch.
Turn on both computers, and use the buttons on the KVM switch to alternate between displays.

How to Download Pictures to a Mac Computer

Hook up the USB download cable that came with the camera. Turn on the computer. Open iPhoto and plug the USB cable into one of the Mac's USB ports. Turn on the camera.
After a short period, iPhoto will open a dialog box with the camera's name. Type in the name of the roll of film, and if desired, a short description of that particular roll of film. Click the 'Import' button and the pictures will begin to download to your Mac.
Wait until all the pictures have been imported to the computer. Upon completion, find the 'Source' portion of iPhoto and click on the 'Eject' button. Turn the camera off and unplug the USB cable.
Locate the new pictures in the 'Source' section under 'Last Roll' or by the film roll name in the 'Library' section. Many Mac computers do not have media slots where the camera's memory card could be inserted. Continue to Step 5 if you do not have the USB cable for camera.
Ensure that the camera is turned off and remove the SD memory card. Open the flip top on the SD/USB flash drive and insert the SD card. Close the flip top and insert the flash drive into the Mac's USB port. Proceed as described in Step 2 and when download is complete, eject the flash drive and reinstall in the camera.
