Can You Underline Text in an iPad?
Open the 'Mail' app on your iPad and tap the new message icon, which resembles a square with a pencil in it.
Tap in a text field and use the on-screen keyboard to type some text.
Double-tap a word to highlight it. Tap one of the grab points and drag it to select a larger block of text. When you're done highlighting, lift your finger.
Tap the arrow in the bar above the selected text. Tap 'B/I/U' and select 'Underline' to underline the highlighted words. You may not need to tap the arrow if the highlighted passage is long enough; in this case, the 'B/I/U' option displays automatically.

How to Email a PDF to iBooks (7 Steps)
Launch your email client on your computer or navigate to your online email account login page and sign in.
Compose an email message and attach the PDF you want to add to iBooks to the message. Enter your email address in the 'To' field, and then click 'Send.'
Tap the 'Mail' application on the Home screen on your Apple device.
Scroll through the list of email messages and tap the one that has the PDF attached.
Scroll to the bottom of the message and tap the PDF attachment. The PDF opens on the screen.
Tap the 'Launcher' icon located at the top-right corner of the screen. The icon looks like an arrow coming out of a box.
Tap 'Open in iBooks.' The PDF document opens in the iBooks application.

Can You Screen Share Your MacBook Pro With WD TV
Open the Apple menu from the upper-left corner of your screen, and click 'System Preferences.'
Click the 'Sharing' button under the Internet & Wireless group.
Choose a name for your computer on the network and type it in the Computer Name field.
Click the box next to File Sharing to turn on the file sharing service. Then click on the '+' sign button below the Shared Folders box.
To share additional folders beyond the default Public folder, select the folder you would like to share, and click the Add button. The WD TV player will now recognize the video content you see on your MacBook Pro.

How to Use Clipboard on the iPad
Tap on any text field to insert the cursor and bring up the on-screen keyboard.
Hold your finger down on text you want to cut or copy. Use the magnifying glass to make sure the cursor is at the right spot, then remove your finger.
Press the 'Select' option, then move the two edges of the highlighting around and position them to highlight the text you want to cut or copy.
Tap the highlighted text and choose 'Cut' or 'Copy.' Choosing 'Cut' will remove the text and copy it to the clipboard; selecting 'Copy' will copy the text to the clipboard without erasing it.
Paste the clipboard text by tapping on the location you want to paste it. Tap the 'Paste' option. Your clipboard text is now pasted onto the screen.

How to Use Photobooth Effects on Skype
Download and install the CamTwist application.
Launch Skype and log in to your account. Click the 'Skype' menu in the main toolbar and select 'Preferences.' Click the 'Audio/Video' tab to display a live picture feed from your webcam. Do not close this window.
Launch CamTwist. Double-click the 'Webcam' option in the Video Sources field. This will begin running your webcam through the CamTwist filter.
Return to the 'Audio/Video' tab in Skype's Preferences menu. Click the 'Camera' toolbar and select 'CamTwist.'
Return to the CamTwist application, leaving the video feed from the Preferences menu still visible.
Double-click any effect in the 'Effects' menu to preview the webcam feed in your webcam display. You can access a settings menu for individual effects by highlighting the effect in the 'Adjust Settings' window. You can also stack multiple effects, and each effect can be removed by clicking the 'X' adjacent to the effect in the 'Adjust Settings' window.
Close out of the Skype Preferences menu, leaving the CamTwist window open. Click one of your contacts and place a video call. You can apply new effects and adjust existing effects at any time during the videoconference by making changes in the CamTwist window.

How to Activate an Apple Mobile Device
Close the iTunes application if it is open and disconnect your Apple device.
Click 'Start' then type 'Services' in the Search field.
Click 'Services' in the search results list under 'Programs.' The Services window opens.
Click 'Apple Mobile Device,' then click 'Stop the Service' under 'Apple Mobile Device.'
Click 'Start the Service' after the service has stopped to activate it
Launch iTunes and re-connect your Apple device to the computer.

How to Change a Macbook S.M.A.R.T. Status (6 Steps)
Doucle-click on the 'Macintosh HD' icon from the desktop and then double-click on the 'Applications' folder. Double-click on the 'Utilities' folder.
Double-click on the 'Disk Utility' icon. Click on the main hard drive icon in the left navigation pane.
Look for the 'S.M.A.R.T. Status' field near the bottom of the bottom of the pop-up screen. If the status reads, 'Verified,' then you don't need to change anything, but if it says, 'Failed,' continue to Step 4.
Click on the 'Repair Disk' button and allow for the repair to complete. If the S.M.A.R.T. still reads, 'Failed,' you must restore your hard drive.
Back up all of your computers files to an external hard drive. Go back to the 'Disk Utility' pop-up screen after you've backed up all of your files.
Click your drive again and then click on the 'Erase' tab. Follow the directions to erase your hard drive and then click the 'Erase' button. You hard drive should now be as good as new, and you can check the S.M.A.R.T. status again to make sure it reads, 'Verified.'

How to Burn a DVD Video With Macbook Pro
Check your computer for the iDVD program that comes standard with the iLife software suite from Apple. If you don't have it, it can be purchased on the Apple website.
Open iDVD and start a new project.
Title your DVD and select a menu theme in the first two fields from the top of the iDVD window.
On the right hand side of the iDVD window, select your video and drag it in to the field that says 'Drop Movies Here.' Your video must be located in the Movie folder on your hard drive. If it is not, then copy it there and then drag it in to your project.
Customize the various options available to you: rename the menu options, add pictures, or change the menu theme, for example.
Insert a blank DVD into the disc drive located on the right hand side of your laptop body. When the computer has recognized the disc, click on the button labeled 'Burn' in the bottom right hand corner of the iDVD window. Then wait. Your DVD will be finished in no time and ready to play on DVD players.

How to Set an Alarm on MacBook
Click the Calendar icon located in the Dock. If the Calendar icon doesn't display in the Dock, click the 'Go' menu, select 'Applications' and double-click 'Calendar.'
Double-click the date that you want to use for the alarm. Type a name for the alarm in the 'New Event' text area.
Select the date and choose the time that you want the alarm to go off in the 'From:' field. You don't need to change the information in the 'To:' field.
Choose the 'Alert:' drop-down menu and select 'Custom.'
Select the 'Message With Sound' option from the first drop-down menu.
Choose a sound from the list of options in the second drop-down menu. Alternatively, select 'Open File' and choose an audio file on your hard drive to play when the alarm goes off.
Select 'At the Time of Event' from the last drop-down menu and click 'OK.' You can also select the 'Minutes Before' option and enter a numerical value to have the alarm go off before the set event time.
