How to Reinstall Photo


Insert disc one from your Mac OS software bundle into the computers optical drive. Disc one is labeled as the 'Mac OS X Install DVD.'
Double-click the 'Optional installs' folder on the Mac OS X install pop up menu. The menu will automatically pop up once you have inserted the disc into the optical drive.
Double-click the 'Optional installs installer' on the next window. When the optional installs installer screen pops up, click 'Continue.'
Click 'Continue' on the software license screen. Read through the terms of agreement on the next page and click 'Agree' when you are finished and agree to accept the terms.
Click 'Photo Booth' as the item you want to install. To reveal the full list of programs, click the triangle icon next to 'Applications.' Click to check the box next to Photo Booth then click 'Continue.'
Modify the install location on the next screen if you wish to designate a different location. Once finished, click 'Continue.' When prompted, enter in your administrator password and click 'Install.'

How to Delete Document History on a Mac


Click on the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Scroll down to the 'Recent Items' tab. Hold the mouse arrow over the tab and a list of the most recent applications and documents you have opened will appear.
Scroll the mouse arrow down the list to the bottom of the pop-up tab. You should see an option that says 'Clear Menu' at the very bottom of the tab. Click on the 'Clear Menu' button. This will automatically delete your document history.
Check to make sure your history is cleared. Click on the Apple icon again and scroll down to the 'Recent Items' tab once more. Hold the mouse arrow over the tab and a pop-up list appears. The list of recently used applications and documents should now be empty.
Make sure to delete the downloaded document history as well. A download history pop-up box appears every time you download a document from the Internet using a Mac computer. This box shows all the most recent documents you have downloaded. Click on the 'Clear List' tab in the bottom left-hand corner of the box to delete your document download history.

Launch iChat. Select your account type from the drop-down menu if you are a first-time user. Type your screen name and password, and click 'Continue.'
Click 'Done' on the Conclusion page and your 'Buddy' list will pop up.
Bring up the iSight camera box by clicking on the 'Camera' icon at the top of your buddy list. Alternatively, go to 'Video' at the top of the iChat Screen, then select 'Video Preview.'
Click the 'Camera' icon next to an online buddy if you want to initiate a video chat session or conferencing call.

How to Change a Macbook S.M.A.R.T. Status (6 Steps)


Doucle-click on the 'Macintosh HD' icon from the desktop and then double-click on the 'Applications' folder. Double-click on the 'Utilities' folder.
Double-click on the 'Disk Utility' icon. Click on the main hard drive icon in the left navigation pane.
Look for the 'S.M.A.R.T. Status' field near the bottom of the bottom of the pop-up screen. If the status reads, 'Verified,' then you don't need to change anything, but if it says, 'Failed,' continue to Step 4.
Click on the 'Repair Disk' button and allow for the repair to complete. If the S.M.A.R.T. still reads, 'Failed,' you must restore your hard drive.
Back up all of your computers files to an external hard drive. Go back to the 'Disk Utility' pop-up screen after you've backed up all of your files.
Click your drive again and then click on the 'Erase' tab. Follow the directions to erase your hard drive and then click the 'Erase' button. You hard drive should now be as good as new, and you can check the S.M.A.R.T. status again to make sure it reads, 'Verified.'

How to Set up Road Runner Email on an iPhone


Open the Settings menu on your iPhone.
Go to 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' and select 'Add Account.'
Choose 'Other' then 'Add Mail Account.'
Enter your name, the full email address, password and a short description of the account. For example, 'Road Runner account.' Tap 'Next.'
Select 'POP' and type 'pop-server.san.rr.com' or 'pop-server.roadrunner.com' in the Incoming Mail Server Host field. Exclude the quotation marks. Choose depending on whether you have an '@san.rr.com' or '@roadrunner.com' email address, respectively.
Verify the incoming mail server settings are 'port 110' and Secure Server OFF. Change the settings if needed.
Enter 'mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com' in the Outgoing Mail Server Host field. You may need to re-type your email address and password.
Change the outgoing mail server settings to 'port 587' and Secure Server OFF (without SSL).
Choose 'Yes' if you see the pop-up message 'Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?'
Wait about a minute while the iPhone attempts to contact the servers. You may get the SSL pop-up message a second time. Choose 'Yes' again.
Tap 'Save' to complete the setup. Your Road Runner account will show up along with any other accounts in the iPhone's email program.

How to Use Skype on a Mac (6 Steps)


Review the system requirements at the Skype for Mac OS X website (see link in Resources) to ensure your computer is capable of running Skype. Download the Macintosh version of the application by clicking the 'free to download' link to open the download page and clicking 'Download Now.' Once the download is complete, open the Downloads folder for your web browser and double click on the 'Skype' icon.
Install Skype be dragging the 'Skype' icon to your Applications folder in the pop-up window. Enter your administrator name and password if prompted, then click 'OK.'
Launch Skype by clicking on the 'Skype' icon in the Dock or in the Applications folder. Read the End User License Agreement and accept the terms by clicking 'Accept.' Create a Skype user account by entering a user name and password in the provided text fields. The user name will be shown to other Skype users when you are using the service.
Search for other Skype users by entering their user names in the search box at the top of the Skype application window. Click 'Search for Skype Name' from the list of options that appears. Once the contact is located, click 'Add contact' to add the user to your Contact List.
Make a call by clicking on the green check mark next to a contact's name in your Contact List. The person must be signed into Skype for you to contact them. If a person is not signed in to Skype, a grey 'X' will appear next to their name.
Call a landline or cellular phone by clicking on the dial pad icon at the bottom left of the Skype application window. Click on 'Select Country or Region' and choose the country for the person you are calling. Enter the phone number using the dial pad and place the call by clicking the green telephone icon.

How to Connect a PS3 Controller to a Mac Leopard


Open your Web browser. Navigate to a website where you can download the driver for Leopard (see Resources). Click on the download link. A '.dmg' file will be downloaded to the 'Downloads' folder. Click on this file to unpack its contents. Open the 'PS3install.pkg.'
Click on the 'Continue' button in the pop-up window until you are asked to agree to the terms and conditions. Agree to the conditions. Indicate the drive that you will be installing into. Click 'Continue.' Restart your system.
Connect the PS3 controller to the USB cord mini jack. Connect the USB end to the USB port on your Mac.
Hold the PS button on the center of the controller for about five seconds. This will register the device with the computer.
Open the game you would like to use the controller with.

How to Disable the Wireless on a Macbook


Locate the AirPort icon located in the top right corner of the desktop, and click it. Scroll down the pop-up menu, and click 'Turn off AirPort' to disable your MacBook's wireless.
Alternatively, click the 'Apple' logo in the top left corner, and select 'System Preferences.' Click the 'Network' icon under 'Internet and Wireless' to launch the 'Network' dialog box.
Click 'AirPort' on the left panel, and click the 'Turn AirPort Off' button to disable the MacBook's wireless.
