How to Close Web Pages on an iPod


Tap on the 'Safari' icon to open the Safari Mobile Browser on your iPod.
Tap the icon on the lower-right corner of your iPod. This shrinks down the web page.
Tap the 'X' icon on the upper-right corner of the shrunken web page to close it. Use your fingers to move around to other tabs and close any additional web pages.

How to Turn Off Closed Captioning on an iPod (9 Steps)


Scroll to 'Settings' listed near the bottom of the main screen when you first turn on your iPod, and click on it using the middle button on the click-wheel.
Scroll to 'Captions.' It is second up from the bottom above 'Subtitles.' On the right of the screen, directly across from 'Captions,' you will see either 'Off' or 'On.' If your screen says the captions are on, click the middle button to turn them off.
Click out of this page by pressing the reverse arrows on the click-wheel, and select a movie to play. You should not see any captions while the movie is playing.

How to Turn off the Screen Rotation Lock on the iPhone


Press the 'Home' button twice. The multitasking status bar opens at the bottom of the screen.
Flick the multitasking status bar to the right reveal the iPhone's iPod controls and the rotation lock. The rotation lock icon is located to the left of the iPod controls. A small lock symbol appears on the icon when the rotation is locked.
Tap the rotation lock on. A brief 'Unlocked' message appears. The small lock symbol does not show on the rotation lock icon.
Press the 'Home' button to close the multitasking status bar and return to your Home screen.

How to Restore Your iPhone After Jailbreaking Fails


Charge the iPhone for 30 minutes. A computer or iPhone charger can be used to charge the device.
Turn the iPhone off or hold down 'Home' and 'Power' on the phone until it powers down.
Connect an iPhone/iPod USB cable to a computer that has iTunes installed on it. Do not connect to the phone yet.
Open iTunes on the computer.
Hold down the phone's 'Home' button. Then, connect the iPhone to the iPhone/iPod USB cable. Keep holding 'Home' until a 'Connect to iTunes' screen appears on the phone. A dialog box opens inside of iTunes. Click 'OK' in this box.
Click the iPhone menu in the iTunes Source Pane, which is under 'Devices.' Then, click the 'Summary' tab in iTunes.
Click 'Restore' inside iTunes. A small box appears. Click 'Restore' inside this box. The iTunes Software goes into 'Restore' mode. Follow the instructions inside iTunes to restore your iPhone to your preferences (via a previous iPhone backup, with or without a software update, etc.).

How to Connect an iPod to Speakers (4 Steps)


Plug the cable on the back of the left computer speaker into the output jack on the back of the right speaker.
Connect the cable from the right speaker to the iPod phono jack by pushing the plug straight in until it clicks. The phono is located along the top edge of the iPod.
Plug the DC power cord into the computer speakers and a wall outlet. The power jack is usually located on the back of the right speaker.
Turn the volume knob clockwise on the speakers to activate the audio, then play tracks on the iPod.

How to Connect iHome to a MacBook (9 Steps)


Ensure that the iHome speaker supports AirPlay and that it is connected to the Wi-Fi network. On some models, such as the iW1, you can press the AirPlay button on the speaker. On other models, such as the iW4, you may need to configure AirPlay by connecting an iOS device like an iPhone or iPod Touch to the iHome dock
Connect the MacBook to the same Wi-Fi network as the iHome speaker. You can choose a Wi-Fi network by clicking the 'Wi-Fi' icon.
Launch iTunes on the MacBook. Click the 'AirPlay' button located beside the iTunes volume control slider. Select the iHome speaker from the drop-down menu that opens. When you play audio or video in iTunes, the audio streams to the iHome speaker.
