How Can I Test My Signature Pad? (3 Steps)

Open up an appropriate program such as Acrobat, Word or Excel.
Choose to add a signature into the document. In Word or Excel, this will likely be done via a button on the 'Insert' or 'Add-in' tab, installed by the signature pad software, or via the 'Insert' menu on older versions. You need to consult the signature pad documentation for precise instructions, since each manufacturer differs. In Adobe Acrobat, open any pdf file or create a new one. Choose 'Advanced,' 'Sign and Certify' and then 'Place Signature.' You have to select the method, so you would choose your signature pad. Acrobat will prompt you for placement by dragging your mouse in the location the signature should go.
Sign your name on the signature pad. If it shows up in the program you chose, then it works. If it didn't, there may be a problem with the installation.

How to Set Up the Internet for the PowerBook G4

Determine what kind of connection you will use to connect to the Internet. You must already have an account set up with an Internet provider. If you plan to use a wireless connection, rather than an Ethernet connection, make sure that your computer has an AirPort Card in it first. Without an AirPort Card inside it, you must use an Ethernet connection. (To determine if you have an AirPort Card, go to 'About This Mac' underneath the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen and click 'More Info.' If you see 'AirPort' listed underneath 'Network,' then your computer has an AirPort Card installed.) If you're using an Ethernet cable, insert it into the PowerBook's Ethernet port, located on the left side.
Open 'System Preferences,' which is by default located on the Dock. It is also located in the Applications folder on the hard drive (which is titled 'Macintosh HD').
Click on 'Network.'
Click 'Assist me...' then 'Assistant.'
Give your connection a name, or just use the default name provided, and click 'Continue.'
Select the type of Internet connection you have (wireless, DSL or cable--it's DSL if your modem is connected to a telephone wire; it's cable if the modem is connected to a cable wire). Click 'Continue.'
Select the wireless connection that you want to connect to from the list, if you're connecting wirelessly, and enter your password, if required, then click 'Continue'; your computer will automatically connect to the wireless account, and you're done. If you are using an Ethernet cable to connect, click 'Continue' on the next page. Once you're back on the network page, select the network location you just created in the 'Location' tab, and click 'Apply.' If needed, a pop-up will ask for your username and password, and will finish the connection.

How to Customize Roundcube Webmail

Download the latest version of Roundcube from roundcube.net. The Roundcube installation file is in the format of a tarball (.tar.gz) archive.
Make sure that your Web server meets the system requirements for installing Roundcube. You can use an Apache, Cherokee or Lighttpd Web server running at least PHP 5.2.1 with the IMAP extension installed. You should also have SMTP installed or the ability to use PHP as a mail server.
Install MySQL or PostgreSQL, depending on your preference, if a database engine is not already installed. Create a database for Roundcube usage. You can download MySQL from mysql.com and PostgreSQL from postgresql.org.
Install Roundcube. You can install it manually from the tarball archive file or automatically if your Web host offers the client as an option in your account's control panel.
Specify if you would like a drop-down menu of log-in options when you see the prompt to enter your IMAP host. For example: $rcmail_config['default_host'] = array('mail.yourhost.com', 'webmail.yourhost.com', 'ssl://mail.yourhost.com:993') You can always change this option by modifying the main.inc.php file in the config folder of your installation.
Test the installation of Roundcube. If it was successful, you will be able to log in to the client via your browser.
