How to Enable GoodReader on Mac

Ensure that your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac computer. Launch the GoodReader app on your iOS device and select the 'Wi-Fi File Transfer' option.
Launch Finder on the Mac computer. Select the 'Go' option from the Finder's toolbar and select the 'Connect to Server' option.
Enter the IP address of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch in the 'Server Address' field. You will find the IP address displayed on the mobile device within the GoodReader application.
Click the 'Connect' button to enable the GoodReader application on the Mac. The GoodReader's network folder opens, called eBooks. Drag any files you want to read on the app into this folder from the Mac's finder.
Copy, move, rename or delete files and subfolders in the GoodReader's network folder, just as you would with any folder on your Mac.
Click the 'Eject' button beside the iOS device in the Devices section of the left Finder menu. This is listed by the IP address you entered to connect to the GoodReader app.

How to Make iTunes Songs Download Faster (6 Steps)

Download iTunes songs over your home network instead of public networks unless you only have a dial up connection. Public connections share bandwidth among all users, so your download speed will be slow if others are also using the same connection. If you must use public networks, choose library or school networks whenever possible. These tend to have higher bandwidth and faster speeds than coffee shop or restaurant hotspots.
Connect your computer to your broadband modem using an Ethernet cable rather than downloading over the wireless connection. Data transfer over cabled connections is faster than wireless connections.
Move your computer or device as close to the router as possible if you must use a wireless connection, such as on an iPod, iPad or iPhone.
Connect to the Internet using your service provider's domain name server (DNS) rather than a public DNS. If you have not changed your connection from the default your provider set up, this will happen automatically each time you connect to the Internet. However, if you have specifically configured your home network to use a public DNS such as Google DNS, the company that iTunes uses for file delivery may route your downloads through a busy public data stream. This makes your downloads take longer than they would on a private ISP-provided server. Contact your ISP about switching back to its server.
Close any browser windows and other programs running on your computer before you shop for your iTunes songs. On a mobile device like the iPhone or iPad, open the multitasking pane, hold your finger over one of your open app icons, and then tap the 'X' to close all open programs except the iTunes store. This lets your computer's processers and RAM direct most of their resources to iTunes.
Launch iTunes on your computer and select the 'Downloads' link from the menu as your songs are downloading. De-select the box that says 'Allow simultaneous downloads.' This may increase your overall download time, but each individual song will download more quickly because they are not competing with each other as they download.

How to Get Text Files on an iPad

Browse the App Store on your iPad and choose an app to use for your text-file needs. The iPad's native software supports viewing many types of text files, including plain text, rich text and Word documents. However, these files are read-only and have no folder-style file management to organize them. Look for an app that has folder management and iTunes file transfer support.
Download and install the app onto your iPad.
Plug your iPad's sync cable into the iPad and into the computer where the text files are stored.
Launch iTunes on the computer and wait for it to recognize your iPad.
Click your iPad under the 'Devices' menu in iTunes and then choose 'Apps' and move down until you see the file-sharing area on the screen.
Click the app you downloaded for your text files where it appears in the file-sharing area, not in the main app listings. A file area will appear next to it.
Drag and drop your text files into the file area in iTunes. Click 'Apply' and then 'Sync' -- or just 'Sync,' if that option is available -- after all files are in the sharing area. Allow your iPad to fully sync with the computer and then disconnect it and open your text-file app. Your text files will be stored within this app on the iPad.

How to Transfer iTunes to a Laptop (5 Steps)

Plug your iPod into your old computer and ensure that all of the music from iTunes on that computer has been successfully transferred to your iPod. If you plug in your iPod regularly, this synchronization process should only take a few moments. When the synchronization is complete, unplug your iPod from this computer.
Install iTunes on your new laptop if you do not already have it. Do this by going to the Apple website (see Resources), clicking on the 'Download iTunes' link and following the prompts. Open iTunes once the installation is complete.
Plug your iPod with all the songs you want to transfer into the laptop onto which you want to transfer them. This will prompt iTunes to open a window with three options: 'Cancel,' 'Erase and Sync' (which erases all the songs on your iPod that are not on your laptop and then synchronizes your iPod to the laptop) and 'Transfer Purchases.' This last option transfers all the authorized iTunes purchases on your iPod to the new computer.
Click on 'Transfer Purchases.' This will open a new window asking you whether you want to 'authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes store.' Click 'Authorize.' Next, iTunes will prompt you to log in with your Apple ID and password. Click 'Authorize' again when you have done this.
Click the 'OK' button on the window that appears telling you how many computers you have authorized with this account (out of a limit of five). This will prompt the transfer from your iPod to your new laptop to begin.
