How to Open Email Paper Clips

Open your email program and open the email that contains the attachment. There may be a small paper clip icon next to the email in the list. That one is just to tell you there is an attachment on the email, but you will need to open the email first to access the attachment.
Click the large paper clip icon on the individual email. The attachment may be sent through a virus scanner before becoming available, so you may need to wait a little bit before it opens. If you already have a program that can view it, it should open up. If you receive a warning such as 'blocked' or 'malicious program,' you shouldn't open it, because there is a danger of a virus. If you receive an error stating 'Windows can't open this file...' then you may need additional software or to set an association.
Look under the error message for the full file name of the attachment. The extension, or the part ofter the '.', will cue you in on the type of program required. .Jpg, .gif, .png, .jpeg and .tif require a graphics program. .Doc and .docx requires Microsoft Word or Open Office. .Xls requires Excel or Open Office. If in doubt, you can search Google for the extension to gain insight as to its requirements. Use the format '.ABC extension' in your search.
Click the circle next to 'Select a program from a list of installed programs' and click 'OK.'
Click the appropriate program, such as a graphics program, word processor, etc, and click 'OK' to open the file with the selected program. If you don't see the program, you can click 'Browse' to locate it manually in a Windows Explorer type setting. If you check 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file' then Windows will remember your settings and use them next time it encounters the same file extension.
Associate a file type manually in Windows 7 by clicking the Start orb, typing 'Make a file type always open in a specific program' and pressing Enter. On the resulting screen, you can select the file extension and click 'Change program' at the top to change the associated program, similar to the previous step. This is also useful if you accidentally associate an inappropriate program with an extension.

How to Optimize Battery Life on a MacBook (7 Steps)

Charge your MacBook by connecting it to a power adapter until the onscreen indicator bar on your Desktop reaches 100 percent and the light on your adapter cord is green.
Continue charging your MacBook for at least two hours after you reach a full charge. You can use your MacBook during the two-hour period, but don't unplug it.

Continue using your MacBook---or leave it on---until the battery gets low and you see the warning dialog box pop up. Do not plug in your MacBook.

How to Have Multiple Windows Open on One Monitor

Press the 'Tab' key on your keyboard while simultaneously pressing the Windows logo key. All open windows on your monitor will stack together in a series of icons, starting in the top left of the screen.
Click the 'Tab' key again to rotate through the icons until you're at the window that you want to view. Release the 'Tab' and Windows logo key to display the window in full view. Alternatively, use your mouse to click on a specific window in the stack.
Jump to a specific window as an alternative to stacking all open windows. Press and hold the 'Alt' key and the 'Tab' key on your keyboard. All open windows will shrink into a line of icons.
Hit the 'Tab' key to scroll through the windows until you're at the one that you want to view. Release the keys on your keyboard and the window will jump to the front of the screen in full size.
View windows side-by-side instead of cascading or jumping through the windows. This is ideal if you only want to view two or three windows simultaneously. Hold down the 'Ctrl' button on your keyboard and select the appropriate windows in your taskbar. This highlights all the windows. Right-click on any of them and select 'Show Windows Side by Side.'

How to Sync Two iPhone Calendars for Free

Tap 'Settings' on your first iPhone. Open the 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' page and tap the 'Add Account' button.
Select 'Microsoft Exchange' from the list of available services.
Enter your full Google account email address in both the 'Username' and 'Email' boxes, and your Google password in the 'Password' box. Tap the 'Next' button to continue.
Tap the 'Cancel' button when a dialog box stating 'Unable to verify certificate' appears. This isn't a fault, but a necessary part of the setup procedure. The iPhone returns to the 'Exchange' screen.
Type 'm.google.com' into the 'Server' box that appears at the top of the 'Exchange' screen. Tap the 'Next' button. Google verifies the account.
Slide the 'Calendars' switch to 'ON' and tap the 'Done' button. The iPhone is now synchronized with your Google calendar whenever you launch the app.
Repeat the Google calendar setup procedure on the second iPhone, following the exact same steps to sync its calendar with Google. Any changes or additions made to either iPhone's Calendar app are now synced with your Google account and any other iOS devices linked to it.
