How to Change Trackpad Settings on Mac (5 Steps)

Open your computer's System Preferences by clicking the icon on the dock.
Select 'Trackpad,' which is located under the 'Hardware' heading.
Use the slider on the left side of the menu to adjust the mouse's tracking speed. This dictates how responsive your mouse is to movement on the trackpad.
Choose which gestures you would like to enable on the left side of the screen. Gestures are like short cuts that allow you to easily perform more complex functions using only your trackpad.
Adjust the sliders on the right to change the gesture settings.
