How to Reset a Logic Board

Power off and unplug the computer.
Remove the side cover of the computer case.
Locate the jumper on the logic board to clear the CMOS NVRAM. Refer to the motherboard manual for details.
Move the jumper to the 'clear' position. Typically, the jumper resides on two of three pins. By moving the jumper to include the missing pin, the CMOS NVRAM is reset.
Move the jumper back to the original position.
Replace the computer's side cover and power on the computer. The logic board has been reset.

How to Replace a Macbook Screen (6 Steps)

Drain the battery, turn off your MacBook and disconnect it from any and all external power sources.
Remove all screws from the outside of the computer with the Phillips head screwdriver. Lay them out in a pattern that will allow you to put each individual screw back into its original location.
Remove the keyboard assembly and internal hardware of the computer. The system board is located directly underneath the keyboard and must be separated first. After the system board is out, proceed with the keyboard. This requires more unscrewing and may involve the disconnection of one or two delicate cables. Remove the screws slowly with your phillips head screwdriver, and remove the cables softly with your fingers. The exact number of screws and cables will depend on your version and generation of MacBook.
Disconnect the display cables connecting the screen to the motherboard. Use your plastic putty knife to gently lift up the top casing holding the screen into place. Remove the screws around the screen, and disconnect the cables at the bottom of the screen from the plastic part of the MacBook that connects with the bottom half. Remove the screws on either side of the screen holding it to the brackets, there will be two or three on each side. Remove the sleep magnet on the left side of the screen. Remove the screws from the top, and carefully remove the tape from the back of the screen. Separate the miniature webcam and remove the old screen from the side brackets.
Install the new screen. You will go through the exact same process as before, but in reverse. Place the new screen in the same position as the old one, place the brackets around it, replace the webcam and tape down the wires. Replace the screws into the brackets and the sleep magnet on the left side. Secure the screen into the top casing and proceed with reassembly.
Reassemble your MacBook. Install all components exactly as they were.
