How to Reinstall a MacBook (10 Steps)

Back up all your data to removable storage, such as an external hard drive, CDs or DVDs.
Insert the Mac OS X Install DVD that comes with your MacBook. Double-click on 'Install Mac OS X' when the window opens. Click on the blue 'Restart' button when the next 'Install Mac OS X' window opens, indicating that your computer will begin the installation process.
Enter the administrator level user name and password when the 'Install Mac OS X requires that you type your password' dialog box opens. Click 'OK.'
Select your language preference from the list when the MacBook restarts. Click on the blue forward arrow button to continue.
Note the 'Leopard Installer' window that opens. To install Mac OS X, click continue. Agree to the terms of service on the license agreement, and then click continue.
Select a destination for Mac OS X by clicking on the icon of the hard drive.
Click on the 'Options' button and choose an option for installation. Select 'Archive and Install' if you wish to install a new version of OS X but leave your old system files and move them to a new folder called 'Previous System.' This will allow you to recover your files if you change your mind.
Choose 'Preserve User and Network Settings' if you wish to save your user accounts and home folders.
Select the 'Erase and Install' option to permanently wipe your hard drive clean of all data, system files and folders. Click 'OK' and continue. Installation will begin and your computer will restart when completed.
Reinstall any data you have lost by inserting your backup data disks or reinstalling from the external hard drive.

How to Improve the Wi

Click the 'AirPort' icon and select 'Turn Wi-Fi Off.' Wait five to 10 seconds, then select 'Turn Wi-Fi On' to reset your wireless adapter. If you leave the MacBook Air's Wi-Fi adapter on for several hours or even days, it becomes overloaded with information and may need to be restarted.
Select the name of an encrypted wireless network with a password you know from the 'AirPort' menu. Although connecting to an unencrypted network requires less effort since you don't need to input a password, using unencrypted networks places you at greater risk for a slow connection due to an excessive number of users.
Connect to a different network if the one you usually use is slow or completely inactive. If another network works on your MacBook Air, even if you don't plan to use it regularly, it shows that the problem is with the connection and not the MacBook Air.
Sit as close as possible to the router for the wireless connection you use. The less distance the signal has to travel, the higher quality it is. This optimizes the speed and consistency of the Internet on the MacBook Air.

How to Replace a Macbook Screen (6 Steps)

Drain the battery, turn off your MacBook and disconnect it from any and all external power sources.
Remove all screws from the outside of the computer with the Phillips head screwdriver. Lay them out in a pattern that will allow you to put each individual screw back into its original location.
Remove the keyboard assembly and internal hardware of the computer. The system board is located directly underneath the keyboard and must be separated first. After the system board is out, proceed with the keyboard. This requires more unscrewing and may involve the disconnection of one or two delicate cables. Remove the screws slowly with your phillips head screwdriver, and remove the cables softly with your fingers. The exact number of screws and cables will depend on your version and generation of MacBook.
Disconnect the display cables connecting the screen to the motherboard. Use your plastic putty knife to gently lift up the top casing holding the screen into place. Remove the screws around the screen, and disconnect the cables at the bottom of the screen from the plastic part of the MacBook that connects with the bottom half. Remove the screws on either side of the screen holding it to the brackets, there will be two or three on each side. Remove the sleep magnet on the left side of the screen. Remove the screws from the top, and carefully remove the tape from the back of the screen. Separate the miniature webcam and remove the old screen from the side brackets.
Install the new screen. You will go through the exact same process as before, but in reverse. Place the new screen in the same position as the old one, place the brackets around it, replace the webcam and tape down the wires. Replace the screws into the brackets and the sleep magnet on the left side. Secure the screen into the top casing and proceed with reassembly.
Reassemble your MacBook. Install all components exactly as they were.

How to Get A Classroom Grant (4 Steps)

Cut the fluff. Grant funders want real answers. Give facts not assumptions. If the reviewer sees the answers not to be well thought out points will be subtracted.
Make your project fit the qualifications. For instance if a grant requires you to have community involvement and you are unwilling to put community involvement in your project plans, then you should not waste your time on the application and find a grant that better suits the plan.
Look over your program for effectiveness before applying for grants. Yes every part of your plan not just the objective. Everything must be in order and have sufficient facts to warrant the step. If a step in not cost effective points will be lost in the reviewing stage.
Get the approval and support of your supervisors. Funders want to see that the grant money will be well used and plans will not suffer because a teacher did not get the proper approval. If you have to be asked to get approval during the application process, points will be reduced.

How to Use a Projector With a Macbook Pro

Determine the input capabilities of the project. Many projectors only accept analog VGA connections. Digital HDMI or DVI connections are preferred.
Acquire a Mini DisplayPort adapter. One end of the adapter requires a male Mini DisplayPort connector. The other end of the adapter requires the same connection type as the projector, such as HDMI, DVI or VGA.
Connect one end of the HDMI, DVI or VGA cable to the projector.
Power on the projector and wait for it to warm up.
Connect the other end of the cable to the Mini DisplayPort adapter.
Power on the MacBook Pro and wait for it to finish booting.
Insert the Mini DisplayPort adapter with the connected cable into the Mini DisplayPort connector on the MacBook Pro. The projector is detected and configured automatically.
