How to Use a MacBook Trackpad More Efficiently
Click the Apple menu. Scroll down to 'System Preferences.' Click on 'Trackpad' in the 'Hardware' pane of the 'System Preferences' window. Set specific trackpad gestures. Set the tracking speed, double-click speed and scrolling speed by dragging the sliders from 'Slow' to 'Fast.'
Choose finger quantity-specific actions. Check the box next to 'Tap to Click' under 'One Finger' to enable this function. Click the check box next to 'Two Fingers' and then set the options for two fingers, such as 'Scroll,' 'Rotate,' 'Pinch Open and Close,' 'Screen Zoom' and 'Secondary Click.' Check the box next to 'Swipe to Navigate' under 'Three Fingers,' or check 'Swipe Up/Down for Exposé' or 'Swipe Left/Right to Switch Applications.'
Watch video demos of the gestures to learn how to use each one. These are located in the pane to the left of the trackpad actions. Close 'System Preferences' when you've finished setting your preferences.
Click anywhere on your desktop or in your document by pointing and pressing your finger on the trackpad. Press down on the trackpad twice (rapidly) to open a document or application. Use the 'drag and drop' function by clicking your finger on the trackpad while dragging your finger across the surface of the trackpad.
Press the trackpad with two fingers to enable right-click or secondary-click functionality. Place two fingers on the trackpad to move them up or down to scroll vertically. Place two fingers on the trackpad and drag left to right to scroll horizontally. Hold your thumb and index finger open in the middle of the trackpad. Twist your fingers to rotate the photo.
Place your index finger and thumb together on the trackpad and then spread them apart to zoom into a photo or document. Close or pinch them together to zoom back out. Place three fingers on the trackpad and then scroll left to right to advance through Safari browser pages. Place four fingers on the trackpad and then swipe upward to close open windows and display a clutter-free desktop. Swipe four fingers upward to reopen all the windows. Swipe four fingers downward to open all windows on the desktop, or swipe left to right to open the 'Application Switcher.'

How to Fix a MagSafe Power Adapter (4 Steps)
Make sure the power outlet you plug your power adaptor into is working properly. Test the power outlet by plugging an appliance that you know works, such as a lamp or a television, into it.
It is normal for the power adapter to heat up a little during use. Disconnect your adapter and let it cool off if it overheats. The adapter should function correctly after it has cooled.
Your MagSafe adapter may malfunction due to the pins located in the connector getting stuck. For example, all of the pins may get stuck in a downward position. When a pin gets stuck, unplug the power adapter from the power port and plug it back in. This makes the pins shift and set themselves again into a neutral position. If you are having trouble getting the pins to reset themselves, press them gently sideways with a non-abrasive object such as your finger.
Check the power port on your Apple computer and the adapter connector on your MagSafe for any damage, and clean them both. Clean the computer port or the power adapter plug by taking the adapter out of the outlet or by taking the battery out of the computer. Clean the connectors carefully using small, precise tools, such as a cotton swab or a toothbrush with soft bristles. Ensure no cotton fibers stick to the pins. Use rubbing alcohol if you want to clean the connectors thoroughly. Ensure that all connectors are completely dry before using your adapter or computer.

My MacBook Will Not Connect to Wireless Internet
Open the list of available wireless networks and select the desired network. Input a password if necessary. If the network fails to load, double check that the password has been properly typed and that the caps lock function is off. Select 'Join Other Network...' from the drop-down networks list and type in the name of your desired network, inputting the password if necessary.
Turn of the Wi-Fi access on your computer. Close all your Internet browser windows and close the browser programs themselves. Shut down all additional programs operating on your MacBook. Shut down the computer and give a few minutes of inactivity before turning it back on again. Open the Internet browser and reactivate the Wi-Fi connection.
Restart the wireless router, if accessible, by pressing the reset button using a pen or a paper clip. The reset button should be located on the rear of the router, and should be a recessed button that is clearly marked. If you cannot access this button, simply unplug the router, leave it off for a few minutes, then plug it in again and give it time to start up.
