How to Install Apps on an iPad Without iTunes

Press the round button located on the bottom-front of the iPad to display the Home screen. You must have an Internet connection in order to install the apps.
Tap the 'App Store' icon from the Home screen.
Browse to the app of choice. You can enter the name of the app into the 'Search' box at the top of the screen if you know. You can also browse apps by category, features and price.
Tap the price button next to the app of choice. The price button turns to an 'Install App' button.
Tap the 'Install App' button. You'll be at an 'iTunes Password' window.
Enter your iTunes password into the appropriate field and tap the 'OK' button. A transparent app icon appears on your desktop with a progress bar stating 'loading.' The app becomes solid when it is done installing.
