How to Unlock an Apple Laptop When the Password is Lost


Put the Mac OS X Install disc into your Apple laptop. This should be the same version currently installed on your computer.
Find the 'Install and Restore' icon and click it.
Choose your language and select the arrow button.
Select the 'Utilities' menu or the 'Installer' menu, depending on your version.
Select 'Password Reset' or 'Reset Password,' depending on your version.
Find your Mac OS X hard disc volume from the 'Reset Password' window. If you're the only computer user, there should be only one option.
Select your account from the dropdown menu. Again, if you're the only user, you'll only see one option.
Enter and confirm a new password for your Apple laptop. Click the 'Save' button to save your new password.
Find the red button in the left hand corner of the 'Reset Password' window. Click it to close the window.
Select the 'Mac OS X Installer' and click 'Quit.'
Click 'Restart' to restart your laptop. You will then be able to enter your new password to unlock your system.

How to Remove a MacBook Password


Start up the computer using your OS X install disc. To do this, put the disk in the computer and press the startup key while holding down the “C” key on the keyboard. Keep the “C” key pressed down until the OS X startup screen appears.
Choose the language you wish to boot in and press the arrow button.
Enter the “Password Reset” window. In the “Utilities” menu at the top of the screen, select “Password Reset” or “Reset Password.”
Remove the MacBook password and replace it with a new password. Choose the hard drive volume for which you want to remove the password. Use the pull down menu to select the name of the user whose password you wish to change. Enter the new password twice. Add a password hint if desired. Press “Save” to store the new password.
Close the “Password Reset” window by pressing the red button on the upper left corner of the window. In the “Mac OS X Installer” menu, select “Quit Mac OS X Installer.” Press “Restart” to complete the process.

How to Bypass the Administrator Password on a Mac


Insert the Mac OS X Install Disk ( No. 1) that came with your computer (not Mac OS X Install Disk No. 2).
Restart your computer and hold down the 'C' key on your keyboard. This will ensure your Mac boots from the install CD.
Choose your language and accept the license terms, then select 'Reset Password' from the Installer menu.
Pick your hard drive (probably named Macintosh HD) and choose the name of the administrator whose password should be reset.
Select a new password. Don't forget it.
Restart your computer and log in using the administrator password you just reset.

How to Unlock a MacBook Without a Password


Insert the Mac OS X install disc in the MacBook and restart the computer. Hold the 'C' key while the computer starts to force it to start from the disc.
Choose your language and click the 'Arrow' icon. Click 'Utilities' and select 'Reset Password.'
Click the hard drive in the window to select it. Click the username for the main account in the drop-down menu. Type a new password, then re-enter it in the confirmation text box. Type a password hint for the account. Click 'Save.'
Click 'OK' on the confirmation pop-up window. Click 'Installer,' then 'Quit Mac OS X Installer.' Click 'Restart' to reboot the MacBook.

How to Restore Imac to Factory Settings (16 Steps)


Insert the Mac OS X Install DVD into the iMac optical drive with the computer running. Restart the iMac and hold the 'C' key while the computer restarts. This forces the computer to start up from the DVD.
Select the language when prompted and press the 'right arrow' key to continue. Click 'Utilities' in the menu bar and select 'Disk Utility.'
Click 'Macintosh HD' in the Disk Utility window and select the 'Erase' tab. Click 'Erase' to erase the hard drive. This process completely deletes all applications and files stored on the computer. Be sure your data is backed up before erasing the hard drive.
Click 'Erase' when promoted to confirm the selection. After the process is complete, click 'Disk Utility' in the menu bar and select 'Quit Disk Utility' from the drop-down menu.

Open the control panel on your Windows operating system. Open the system preferences on your Mac operating system.
Click on language or regional and language options or clock, language, region option depending on the version of your Windows operating system. Click on the international options on your Mac.
Select United States-International keyboard layout menu or Add language on your Windows operating system and select Spanish. Select Spanish from the languages menu or input menu screen on your Mac.
Click on the language icon on the toolbar on your Windows system and switch it from English to Spanish. Click on the flag icon on your Mac and switch it from the American flag to the Spanish flag.

How to Write Farsi on a Macintosh


Click the Apple menu and select 'System Preferences...' from the drop-down menu.
Select the 'Language & Region' option in System Preferences.
Click the '+' button, select the 'Persian' option and choose the 'Add' button.
Choose an option to determine the default language used on your system. If you select the 'Use Persian' option, then your entire system defaults to the Persian language. Mac OS X doesn't offer full support for Persian in all applications. If you want to continue to use your computer in English, select the 'Use English' button.
Click the 'Keyboard Preferences...' button and select the 'Persian' option from the sidebar. Check the keyboard layout preview. If you don't like the layout, click the '+' button and choose a different Persian keyboard layout from the list of options. When you make your selection, click the 'Add' button.
Select the option to 'Show Input Menu in Menu Bar' to make it easier to switch between keyboard layouts. When you want to switch between English, Persian and other languages, click the icon in the menu bar and select the desired language from the list.
Click the back arrow to return to the Language & Region window. Select the 'Advanced...' button. Set the formatting options for your computer. You can change the Format language for dates, times and numbers so that the computer uses Persian formatting conventions. You can also change the default currency and measurement units used by your computer. Click 'OK' to save your changes.
