How to Play a Mac PowerPoint on Television

Insert the mini-DVI to VGA adapter into your Mac's mini-DVI port, and plug the other end of the adapter into your television. For televisions that use RCA or S-video, purchase an additional VGA to S-video adapter and plug the yellow cable into the bottom of the VGA adapter. Plug the yellow cable into your TV's video port.
Plug the audio cable into the headphones port on your Mac, and plug the other end into the audio ports on the television.
Click the 'Apple' icon at the top of your screen, and select 'System Preferences' from the drop-down menu. Click the 'Displays' icon.
Click the 'Arrangement' tab and check the 'Mirror displays' box. Close out of the window by clicking the red button in the upper-left corner.
Open the Applications folder in Finder and double-click the Microsoft PowerPoint icon to run the program.
Click 'File' and 'Open' to search for the PowerPoint presentation you wish to open, and double-click it to open it. Click 'View' at the top of the menu and select 'Slideshow' from the drop-down menu.
