Use flash memory. The easiest and most reliable way to transfer files to and from the eReader is using memory cards. The eReader is powered by Sony's proprietary series of flash memory cards--the Memory Stick Duo. Using a card reader, files can be transferred from the Mac to the card and vice versa.
Connect with the USB cable. Regardless of the type of device, Macs can read any device with flash memory as an external hard drive. When bridged by USB cable, the Mac will treat the eReader as if it were a card reader, permitting the user to move files to and from the Memory Stick.
Utilize Boot Camp. Since 2005, Apple's MacBook and iMac computers have been equipped with Intel microprocessor chips--the same chips used in Windows-based PCs. Install Calibre. This open-source software is available for free from the developer's website. Calibre is a digital media management program that provides management of all digital files. What makes it attractive is its ability to convert files--PDF, HTML, Office documents-- nto the native file format of the eReader (*.lrf). Calibre cannot download new books from Sony, but it can assist with the backup and loading of non-eBook files to the unit.

Connect your Apple TV to a television with an HDMI cable for the highest-quality sound and video. If your TV doesn't have an available HDMI port, use a three-component video cable and two-component audio cable. Connect your Apple TV's left and right audio ports to your TV's corresponding inputs and match your Apple TV's green, blue and red video ports to your TV's Y, Pb and Pr ports, respectively.
Connect your Apple TV to the Internet by turning it on and following the on-screen prompts. Use your Apple TV Remote's Up and Down buttons to select a network from the list and press the middle button to join the network. Click the “AirPlay” icon on your Mac's status bar and select “Apple TV” from the drop-down list. In the Match Desktop Size menu, choose “Apple TV” to convert your MacBook's resolution to widescreen dimensions that match your television. After a moment, your Mac desktop appears on your TV screen.
Stream Web video to your television by opening a Web browser on your Mac and visiting a streaming video site, such as Hulu, Dailymotion or Vimeo (see Resources for links). Watch a video on your television by starting playback from your MacBook and clicking “Fullscreen.”

Connect the mixer board to other instruments, microphones or sources you want to use in the recoding. Connect the power source to the mixer. Connect the amplifier and speakers to the mixer board as well.
Connect the small end of the 3.5mm-to-RCA cable to the line-out jack on the back of the Mac computer or on the side if a MacBook. On many Macs, the line-out port has a green ring around it and might be the connection used for your computer speakers if you are using a desktop computer. Other Macs have a headphone or audio-wave symbol next to the port to differentiate it from line-in or microphone ports. Disconnect the speakers from your computer if the port is already in use.

Drag and drop them onto your iPod icon listing under 'Devices. To add an entire playlist, select it in the navigation panel and drag it onto your iPod in the same manner as an individual song. When you are ready to disconnect the iPod, select it under 'Devices' and click the eject icon.
With manual managing enabled, the iPod becomes like any other USB device. Thus, the iPod must be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting.

Reduce your screen’s brightness. This single step greatly improves your battery life. The screen is the largest power draw on a tablet. Dim your screen as much as you can handle without causing eyestrain. Some tasks, such as photo editing, may require full brightness, but reducing it for ordinary reading will pay off in extra uptime.
Shorten the screen timeout interval. This feature -- called the Auto-Lock Interval on an iPad --blacks out the screen when the tablet’s not in use. While you may have to touch the screen at regular intervals to keep the tablet awake while you read, you’ll extend your battery life significantly if you use the tablet frequently for short tasks like checking email or sending SMS messages. If you don't mind fiddling with settings, you can turn off the timeout when you're settling in for some reading, and then change it back afterwards.
Reduce or eliminate application updates, pings and syncs. For example, social media applications such as TweetDeck and Apple’s Ping update constantly by default, even when you’re not using them. Set applications to update manually whenever possible and you’ll conserve power even when your tablet is “asleep.” Likewise, Apple recommends turning off “push notifications” and email “push” settings on your iPad to conserve power.
Disable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS when they aren’t needed. Even when these services aren’t in use, they continue to search for connections and remain “powered up.” Some tablets offer a widget to quickly enable or disable these antennas when you’re not using them. If your tablet also uses 3G or 4G wireless service, disable it when you’re using Wi-Fi, or use 'airplane mode' if you're photo editing or watching a downloaded movie.
Keep an eye on the applications that run in the background. Some, such as games, should be shut down when you’re done with them. Others, such as GPS-enabled apps, might use more power than you expect while they’re in the background, because they’re also accessing your GPS antenna. Kill or quit any apps you don’t need.
If your tablet has an Organic Light Emitting Diode screen, a dark-colored wallpaper will reduce the screen’s power draw. Unfortunately, this method won't work with LCD screens, which are illuminated by a static backlight.
