How to Add Yahoo Mail to your iPad


Browse to Yahoo! Mail (see 'Resources') and create an email account if you do not currently own one.
Press the black power button on the top-right side of your iPad. Slide the arrow to the right to unlock the device.
Tap the 'Settings' app on your iPad screen.
Tap 'Mail,' 'Contacts' and then 'Calendars.' Tap 'Add Account...' and tap 'Yahoo! Mail.'
Type your full name, full Yahoo! Mail address (example@yahoo.com) and password. Tap 'Save.'
Click the 'Home' button on your iPad and tap the 'Mail' app. Tap the Yahoo! account to view and write emails.

How to Operate the Apple iPad (9 Steps)


Press the 'Wake/Sleep' button to wake the iPad. If your iPad is off, press and hold the button until you see the Apple icon. Your iPad will start up in a few seconds.
Press the 'Wake/Sleep' button to put your iPad to sleep. To turn it off, hold the button down until the 'Slide to power off' slider appears on the screen. Slide it to shut off the iPad.
Press the 'Home' button on the front of the iPad to back out of the app you are running and return to your menu. Slide the 'Slide to unlock' slider to get started. If you are on the menu, pressing this button brings up the Search page, where you can search for apps or data by typing it.
Press the 'Up/Down' volume button on the side of the unit to raise or lower the volume.
Turn the 'Screen Rotation Lock' switch above the volume buttons to keep the screen from rotating as you move the iPad around.
Turn the unit from a horizontal to a vertical alignment or vice versa to automatically rotate the screen.

How to Set Parental Controls on Safari (9 Steps)


Go to your computer's System Preferences window and choose 'Accounts' from the available options.
Click on the padlock icon in the bottom left hand corner of the window in order to allow changes to your account.
Type in your administrator username and password in order to unlock your preferences.
Choose the account you would like to modify from the list of users and click on it. This will bring up a list of the programs on your computer that can be configured.
Put a check in the box next to the Safari icon.
Click on the 'Configure' button to the right of the icon and press 'OK' when asked if you want to open Safari.
Type in a Web address for a site that you want to allow your child to visit. Although it won't display the page, Safari will ask you if you want to add this page to your child's bookmarks bar.
Click on 'Add Web site' to set the link.
Repeat steps 7 and 8 for other Web sites you want your child to be able to access.
