How to Set the Display on a Macbook to Mirror

Locate a video-out port on the side of your MacBook. The available ports will depend on your MacBook's model. For example, a MacBook Air has a Thunderbolt port, while a MacBook Pro with Retina display has two Thunderbolt 2 ports and an HDMI port.
Examine the video port on the external display, and then use the appropriate cable or adapter to connect your MacBook to the display. For example, if your display has a DVI port and your MacBook has a Thunderbolt port, use a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter to connect the two devices. In this example, connect the Mini DisplayPort end of the adapter to your MacBook's Thunderbolt port, and then connect the other end to the display's DVI port.
Open the 'Apple' menu, and then select 'System Preferences.'
Click the 'Displays' icon, and then select the 'Arrangements' tab.
Click the 'Mirror Displays' check box in the lower left corner of the window.
Click the red button in the upper left corner to close the window.

How to Use an HDMI Cable to Connect Your Mac or PC to an LCD or Plasma TV

Examine your computer to determine whether it has either a DVI or VGA port. Almost every desktop computer has one or the other; it's how the monitor is usually connected. Plug your cable into the port on the computer and run it to the TV. A longer cable is often needed.
Examine your LCD or plasma TV and make sure it has an HDMI input port. Typically, you'll find this port on the back or the side of the TV. Plug the other of the cable into the HDMI port on the TV.
Turn on your computer and make sure the correct input for the TV is selected. The output from your computer displays on the LCD or plasma TV screen.

How Do I Use A Mac Apple Laptop Computer? (6 Steps)

Push the circular power button on the Apple Mac laptop. The operating system only takes only moments to load. Proceed with using the computer when it loads. Click the 'Apple' logo in the upper-left corner of the desktop, select 'Shut Down,' and the Mac computer turns off.
Examine the icons on the bottom of the screen. This is the 'Dock,' a feature similar to the desktop icons on a Windows computer. Click on any icon and that program will be launched.
Click the 'Finder' icon in the lower left corner of the desktop (it looks like a face). This is similar to the 'Start' menu of a Windows computer. A window loads, allowing you to access the programs and files on the computer. Access programs not on the dock by clicking 'Macintosh HD,' followed by 'Applications,' and all of the programs installed will be displayed. This is similar to clicking the 'All Programs,' 'Accessories' option on a Windows computer.
Click any program listing and drag it to the dock for easy access to the software.
Insert a CD into the disc drive of the Apple Mac laptop and a CD icon appears on the desktop. Double-click the CD icon to access the information on the disc. If it is an installation CD, the software installation wizard automatically loads. As with a Windows installation CD, follow the prompts to install the software.
Connect an external hard drive to a USB port of the Mac. Once the computer detects the hard drive, a removable device icon appears on the desktop. Double-click the icon to access the device's information.
