How to Use a Macbook Webcam on Messenger

Launch the messenger program you are using. Examples include Yahoo Messenger, iChat, MSN Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). Enter your user name and password and click 'Sign in.'
Wait for your contacts or buddy list to load. Look for a 'video camera icon' next to the screen name of the friend you want to video chat with. If you do not see an icon, this may mean the user does not have video chatting capabilities.
Right-click on the screen name and select 'Start video chat' or 'Video.' If the option is not available, double click on the screen name to open a new instant message window and click the 'Video' option in the window.
Wait for the person to accept the video chat invitation. If the person accepts, a video window will appear and the Macbook's built in iSight camera will automatically turn on and begin streaming live video.
Exit the video chat by closing the instant message window or clicking 'Disconnect' or 'End video.'
