How to Refurbish a MacBook (6 Steps)

Back up the data on your MacBook. Use an external hard drive or flash-based memory device to save your important personal documents and media.
Take an inventory of malfunctioning and missing parts and order replacements. Use either OEM or a reputable third-party parts supplier. If you want to upgrade a component, check the technical support section of Apple's website to find out which parts are compatible with your MacBook.
Replace malfunctioning and missing parts with the new parts. For detailed instructions specific to your MacBook model, consult Apple's technical support site, where you will find all available user guides and service manuals.
Restore the operating system using your OS X Install discs.
Wipe down the case, keyboard and screen. Use either water or very mild cleaning agents intended for laptops.
Test your refurbished MacBook by launching the Apple Hardware Test. To run the Apple Hardware Test, boot your computer and immediately press and hold the 'D' key. When prompted, select 'Perform extended testing' from the menu. When testing is complete the results display and you can reboot your MacBook.

How to Connect a MacBook Pro to a Samsung TV (5 Steps)

Examine the backside of your Samsung TV to find which display ports are available. Apple produces Mini DisplayPort adapters that are compatible with DVI, HDMI --- with a third-party adapter --- and VGA cables, so you'll want to see which port type your TV has in common. HDMI ports are semi-rectangular, while VGA ports are rhombus-shaped with several rows of pins. DVI ports feature a grid with multiple female pinholes.
Plug the rhombus-shaped end of the corresponding Mini DisplayPort adapter into your MacBook Pro. The DVI, HDMI and VGA Mini DisplayPort adapters all feature the same functionality, so which type you use ultimately comes down to personal preference.
Plug one end of the corresponding display cable into the other side of the Mini DisplayPort adapter.
Connect the other end of the display cable into the appropriate port on the Samsung TV.
Turn on both devices, if you haven't yet done so. Set the TV's TV/Video settings to the corresponding mode --- HDMI if you're connected via HDMI, for instance --- to begin using the MacBook Pro on the TV.

How to Add Appulous to Cydia

Turn on the iOS device that Installous will be installed on. To turn on the device, press the 'Sleep' button for several seconds.
Locate the Cydia icon and tap on it. If there is no icon for Cydia on the device, check with the documentation that came with the software package used to jailbreak the device. Some early jailbreak methods used different third-party application stores instead of Cydia. Rock Your App Store was the primary alternative to Cydia, but the two app stores have since merged. If Cydia is not present, and you are unable to install it, your device may need to be re-jailbroken using a newer method in order to proceed. It may also be possible to install Cydia from within the Rock Your Phone App store if that app store is available on the device.
Tap on the 'Manage' tab on the bottom of the Cydia application.
Tap the blue button marked 'Edit' in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
Tap the 'Add' button in the upper left corner of the screen.
Enter 'cydia.hackulo.us' in the text entry form and tap the 'Add Source' button.
Wait while Cydia verifies the source. When it is finished, click the large blue 'Return to Cydia' button.

How to Turn an iPad Into a Mini Computer (5 Steps)

Connect a wireless keyboard to your iPad. The iPad comes with Bluetooth built in, allowing you to use your keyboard within 30 feet of the iPad. Turn on the keyboard and the iPad should pair itself with it. If it does not, tap 'Settings' on the iPad, then select 'General' and 'Bluetooth' to locate the keyboard.
Place your iPad into a stand to sit on your desk or table. A docking station stand is available from Apple directly, or you can select stands made by third-party manufacturers. You can connect speakers to the iPad or to the docking station. The PadDock 10 from SMK-Link electronics allows you to rotate the iPad in the stand and even includes stereo speakers in the stand.
Connect your iPad to a computer monitor, television or projector with a VGA adapter by connecting it to an Apple VGA Adapter. The adapter supports up to 1,080 pixel resolution in HD.
Connect your iPad to a wireless printer using a wireless router and one of the many apps available for wireless printing. Apple's AirPrint works with many HP printers. PrintCentral, an app available from EuroSmartz Ltd works with any wireless printer or through 3G.
Unplug the iPad and remove it from the stand at any time. Bring the stand and accessories with you on the road to use your iPad mini computer when you travel.
