The first method is to simply access the 'Run' function by pressing down on the Windows key and then typing in perfmon.exe /report. The alternate method is to open the 'Start Menu' to access the Control Panel, click on 'Systems and Maintenance,' then select 'Performance Information and Tools.' Under 'Tasks' click 'Advanced Tools.' Finally, select 'Generate a system health report.' Follow the directions to select which diagnostic test(s) to perform. When the test(s) are complete, the results will be listed on-screen. To exit AHT, eject the disc and either shut down or restart your notebook.
