How to Transfer PDF Files to GoodReader on My iPad

Drag and drop all of the PDF files you want to transfer into a single desktop folder on your computer for easy access.
Connect your iPad to the computer with your PDF files via the iPad's USB connection cord, as if you were synching the iPad to your computer.
Launch iTunes if it doesn't start automatically when you connect. If the sync process begins automatically, stop it or wait for it to finish.
Click your iPad under 'Devices' in the left iTunes pane, and then click the 'Apps' tab in the main pane. Click 'GoodReader' from the 'File Sharing' section of that pane; scroll down if necessary to find it.
Open the folder with your PDF files and drag them all into the GoodReader documents window in the iTunes main pane. Press 'Ctrl' and 'A' together on the keyboard to select all the files at once before dragging. As of March 2011 iTunes doesn't support dropping folders into the pane.
Disconnect your iPad after the process is complete and the iTunes screen says it's safe to disconnect.

How to Transfer Apps From a MacBook to an iPad

Turn on your iPad and connect it to your MacBook using a USB data cable. Open iTunes if it does not open automatically and then slide the tab on the iPad's screen to the right to disable automatic sync.
Click the device icon for your iPad in the left column of the iTunes window to access your 'Summary' window and then click the 'Apps' tab.
Check the box next to 'Sync Apps.' You need to do this even if you use the manual management feature for music and videos.
Check the box for each app that you want to sync. Apps with boxes left unchecked will not be imported to your iPad but will remain in your iTunes library.
Drag and drop apps in the screen on the right to arrange and organize them. Drop one app on top of another to create a folder. Drag an app icon to the bottom of the last page to create a new home screen page.
Click the 'Apply' button to sync your iPad and save your changes.

How to Set Up a Preowned iPad

Connect your computer to a high-speed Internet connection, such as a DSL, cable or satellite connection.
Browse to Apple.com/iTunes/Download and follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the latest version of iTunes on your computer. If your computer already has iTunes installed, launch iTunes and follow any onscreen prompts to update to the newest version if these prompts appear.
Sign into iTunes if you have an existing account. Otherwise, click the 'Store' option and create an account by following the directions on your screen. iTunes will require a credit card to keep on file so you can purchase apps (software) for your iPad.
Plug your iPad sync cable into the iPad and a USB port on your computer. The sync cable is the same as your charger cable. Simply pull the cord out of the square wall connector to reveal the USB connector.
Wait for iTunes to recognize your device. It may take a few minutes, but the left panel of iTunes will add a 'Devices' section and the name of your iPad will appear in this list.
Click your iPad's name. This will open the device summary tab.
Swipe the 'Swipe to Cancel' button on your iPad if it starts to sync automatically. After the automatic sync stops, click the 'Restore' button in iTunes. Follow any onscreen prompts to wipe any iPad data and reinstall the operating system.
Click each of the tabs across the top of iTunes, including 'Music,' 'Books,' 'Movies' and 'Photos' and select any of these items you want to sync to your iPad using the iTunes interface. Click 'Sync' or 'Apply' when you are finished.
Disconnect your iPad from the computer after the iTunes window says the sync process is complete. It is now ready to use.
Tap the 'Settings' icon and choose 'Wi-Fi' to set up your wireless network. Just tap the name of your local network when it appears and enter the password, if necessary.
Tap the 'Mail, Contacts and Calendars' setting to set these accounts. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.
Press the home button to return to your home screen when you finish with the settings. Tap the 'App Store' icon to begin browsing for apps to expand your iPad's capabilities.

How to Sync Outlook With an IPad (11 Steps)

Tap 'Settings' on the iPad home screen while you have an active Internet connection. Select 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' and then 'Add Account.' Select 'Microsoft Exchange' to sync with a server at work. Select 'Outlook.com' to sync with your Outlook.com account.
Enter your email account, username and password in the appropriate fields. If you are connecting to an Exchange Server, you can enter the domain name as well, but this isn't required.
Tap 'Next' and give the iPad a minute or so to locate your Exchange server. Connecting to Outlook.com should take only a few seconds. If it can't connect to an Exchange Server, you are prompted to enter your Exchange Server domain name, such as 'exchange.companywebsite.com.' Get this name from your network administrator if you don't know it.
Tap 'Next.' Once the iPad connects to the email server, you are prompted to select which services you want to sync. Select 'Mail,' 'Contacts' or 'Calendars' as desired. You can change these services at any time by going back to 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' in Settings and tapping 'Account Info.'
