How to Hook Up Your Samsung TV to Your Mac (7 Steps)
Make sure that your television and Mac are both turned off.
Clear a space for the computer to sit beside the television. It should be close enough to the TV for the cords to reach both machines.
Connect the Apple mini-DVI to DVI/HDMI adapter to the VGA cable before connecting either cords to the television or to the Mac.
Plug-in the Apple mini-DVI to DVI/HDMI adapter to the Mac. This is located on the left side of the computer, identified by a rectangle that is flanked by two lines.
Connect the VGA cord to the television, securing the plug by screwing in the two screws. This cord will plug in on the back of the television that is marked 'PC IN.'
Connect the 3.55mm-to-3.55mm audio jack first into the headphone jack on the Mac to get sound. This is on the left side of the computer.
Plug in the other end of the 3.55mm-to-3.55mm audio jack to the television. This goes on the back side of the television, beside the space marked 'PC IN.' The jack is marked 'Audio.'
