How to Run Mac OS X Leopard on a PC (5 Steps)
Insert the Mac OS X install disc into your PC, right click on it and select 'Make CD/DVD Image.' If you don't have this option, then you may need to install a program like Nero or Magic ISO Maker.
Download the PC-EFI patch for Leopard OS X and follow the install instructions to patch your Leopard ISO file. This patch makes it possible to install OS X on a PC without manually changing your BIOS (firmware) settings and patching OS X to run on PC processors.
Insert a blank DVD and burn the patched OS X install. Select a slow burn speed to minimize write errors. If your DVD-burning software has a 'verify disc' option, then enable it while burning the Leopard disc.
Restart your computer and press the F12 key during startup to boot from the OS X Leopard disc. Choose the appropriate installation for your computer's processor (i.e. select the AMD install if you have an AMD processor), choose the language for OS X and select your installation preferences. Note that not all OS X software works perfectly on a PC, so a minimal installation is recommended for first-time 'hackintosh' builders.
Restart your computer once the installation is finished and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your admin account for OS X. If you ever want to go back to Windows, then insert a Windows installation disc, restart your machine, press F12 during launch and boot from the disc.
