How to Install an Airport Card in a Mac Pro (8 Steps)
Unplug all cables from the Mac Pro. Pull up on the release lever at the back left corner of the Mac Pro and remove the side panel.
Pull the first and second hard drive bays out of the top of the Mac Pro. Set the two hard drive bays aside.
Place a bath towel on the floor. Set the Mac Pro on the bath towel with the open side facing up.
Insert the front of the Airport card into the Airport compartment slot that is directly beneath the open drive bays on the circuit board of the Mac Pro. Carefully bend the Airport card downward so that it is vertical to the Airport compartment slot.
Insert the two screws into the bottom of the Airport card with the Phillips jeweler’s screwdriver.
Pull the two antenna leads—in the upper left corner of the Airport compartment slot—towards you. Plug the top antenna lead into the top left corner connection on the Airport card. Plug the bottom antenna lead into the connection beneath the top left corner connection on the Airport card.
Pull the Bluetooth antenna lead—in the upper right corner of the Airport compartment slot—towards you. Plug the Bluetooth antenna lead into the connection below the bottom antenna lead.
Stand the Mac Pro upright again. Reinsert the two hard drive bays. Place the side panel back onto the Mac Pro. Push down on the release lever at the back of the computer. Reattach all of the cables.
