How to Save PDFs on an iPad (6 Steps)
Launch the 'App Store' on your iPad and browse for a PDF app. Nearly any eBook reading app, such as iBooks or Kindle, can read and save your PDFs in an easily accessible format on your iPad. These apps are generally free. If you need to work with the PDF on your iPad, enter 'annotate PDF' in the App Store search box and find a PDF editor that has the functions you need.
Download the app onto your iPad by tapping the 'Free' button or price, selecting 'Install' and confirming your password. You do not need to launch the app after it installs.
Navigate to your PDF document. If it is on your computer, email it to yourself, and then tap the attachment to download it onto the iPad. If it is online, visit the site where the PDF is located and click the link to download the document. The PDF will open in Preview mode, but this does not save it to your iPad.
Tap the 'Open in' button in the upper-right corner. If you don't see this button, tap anywhere in the document. This will bring up the menu bar, including the button.
Select the app you just installed from the 'Open in' list. The iPad will automatically launch your app and open the PDF within it.
Tap 'Save' to save the PDF if that option is available in your app. Many apps will automatically save the PDF, so you may not see a 'Save' button. In this case, simply press the back arrow to go to the app's main interface or press the Home button to leave the app. The next time you launch the app, you will see your PDF stored in the app's files.

How to Use Newsgroups on an Ipad

Tap the entry for your newsreader app in the search results to open its listing page, and tap the 'Buy' button. Tap the button again to download and install the newsreader app on your iPad.
Launch the newsreader app, and tap the button to add a new newsgroup server's connection details. Consult the app's documentation to locate this button, as each application is different.
Open the list of newsgroups, and tap the entry for the one you want to access. A list of current discussions will be displayed for you to read.
Tap the button to connect to a specific newsgroup if you want to participate. Enter your post into the text box using the iPad's on-screen keyboard, and press the 'Enter' key to post it to the group.

How to Replace Missing Keys on a Mac Laptop Keyboard
Note the model of your laptop to get the appropriate keys. Powerbooks, for example, have a variety of models, including the Wallstreet, Lombard and Pismo, the older black models. When the Powerbook changed to a silver color, the models included the Titanium---which has a black keyboard---and Aluminum.
Find a website that sells individual keys (see Resources) or eBay and order the appropriate keys.
Remove bad keys if they still are attached to the keyboard. All the keys are snapped into place, so just pull a key up to remove it. It will unsnap from what Apple calls the scissor or plunger. If the scissor is intact, but the key is missing, a new key will snap on over the scissor by pushing it down until it clicks.
Make sure your support scissors are still intact, as you will need them to place your key. Most individual keys come with the scissor part, so you can replace it at the same time as the key. Push each side of the scissor under the metal hook, one at a time. The scissor halves will then extend upward on either side. Whether you are replacing an old key or placing a new one, the scissors must be hooked into the old supports already found in the keyboard base. Use tweezers to steady the support scissor and connect it to the already-in-place scissor on the Mac keyboard.
Push the key down gently but firmly until it snaps into place.

How to Install Games on a Mac (11 Steps)
Insert the game CD into your Macintosh's CD drive.
Locate the icon for the CD on your desktop and double click to open it. Most commercial software CDs start with an open window to help you find the installer application faster.
Locate the game icon or the installer icon. They will be clearly labeled by the manufacturer, and they will usually have a .app extension.
Drag the game application to your Applications folder on the Macintosh, or double click the installer to launch it. If you're supposed to drag the icon to install it, the CD will show an arrow like this ===> pointing to a picture of the Applications folder as a cue of what to do.
Follow the installer directions in the dialog box that appears on your screen to complete the installation process. You will find your game icon in the Applications folder when the installation is complete.
Leave the CD in the disk drive if the game requires it in order to run. Many commercial games will only run if the original CD is still in the machine.

How to Make a Brochure on a Mac (6 Steps)
Open Pages, which is located in the Applications>iWork folder.
Choose 'Brochures' in the pop-up menu of templates that comes up. In iWork 2006 these are located under the 'Marketing' menu; in iWork 2009 they are under 'Page Layout.' There are several templates from which to choose.
Choose a template that most closely matches the final look you want to achieve. Double-click to open it.
Save the file and name it so you can easily find it.
Replace the placeholder text and any photos you desire with your text and images. Any photo file on your computer can simply be dragged from the Finder onto a placeholder image, and it will automatically be placed and resized to fit. Text can be typed directly into the document, replacing the placeholder text, or it can be copied and pasted from another document and formatted using pre-existing style sheets from the 'Style' option on the menu bar. New text boxes can be created by clicking anywhere outside the main body and choosing Insert>Text.
Save the file again when you are finished. You can either print it yourself or export it as a PDF and have it printed professionally. There are two pages in each document; the first page is the outside of the brochure and the second page is the inside. Printing it yourself is easiest if you have a duplexer that will automatically print front and back. Otherwise you will need to re-feed the paper after the first side is printed. To export as a PDF go to File>Export in iWork 2006, or Share>Export in iWork 2009.

How to Delete Songs From a Rewritable CD in Mac
Insert your rewritable CD in your computer's optical drive. Start 'Finder,' the default file manager in Mac OS. Back up the songs you find on your rewritable CD.
Select 'Applications' from the 'Go' list you see in the left side of the Finder window. Double-click the 'Utilities' icon, then double-click the 'Disk Utility' icon.
Browse through the drives in the left pane and select the rewritable disk drive. Select the 'Erase' tab to start the erasing process.
Select what type of erase you want the Disk Utility to perform. You can tick the 'Quick Erase' check-box to quickly erase the rewritable CD. If you use the 'Quick Erase' method, the Disk Utility allows you to overwrite the existing songs, without actually erasing them.
Click the 'Erase' button to start erasing the songs from your rewritable CD. If you want certain songs on your disk, write them back from the backup. There is no way of erasing just some songs in Mac OS.
