Shut down the computer. Disconnect the power supply cable. Turn the MacBook over and remove the battery. If the battery is inside the case and not removable without taking off the backing, simply skip the battery removal.
Press and hold down the 'Power' button for five seconds. Replace the battery and reconnect the power cable. Press the 'Power' button once more to turn the MacBook back on. This will reset the 'System Management Controller' or 'SMC.'

Go to the location on the GPS. After you lock your device, use the map as a guide to find where the iPad is. The GPS will only give you an approximate location. It might be in the same place where you think it was stolen. If you come in contact with the person who you believe stole your iPad, do not try to confront them on your own.
