How to Rename Albums in My iPad Photos (6 Steps)

Locate the main photo folder that you have synced with the iPad device on the computer's hard drive. The name and location of this folder will vary between users. Once you have located the main folder, double-click on the folder to view the photo album folders stored inside.
Click on one of the photo album folders to highlight it. Click the name of the photo album folder to place the mouse cursor in the folder's name edit box. Press the 'Delete' key to delete the current folder's title.
Enter a new name for the photo album folder in the space provided. When you are finished, press the 'Enter' key to save the changes.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for any other photo album folders that you want to rename.
Connect the iPad to the computer via the USB connection cable that came with the device and double-click the iTunes application icon to launch the application.
Click on the iPad device beneath the 'Devices' heading in the iTunes application window. Click the 'Sync' button to sync the new photo album names with the device. After the syncing process is finished, the albums will appear on the iPad with their new names.
