How to Use Photobooth Effects on Skype

Download and install the CamTwist application.
Launch Skype and log in to your account. Click the 'Skype' menu in the main toolbar and select 'Preferences.' Click the 'Audio/Video' tab to display a live picture feed from your webcam. Do not close this window.
Launch CamTwist. Double-click the 'Webcam' option in the Video Sources field. This will begin running your webcam through the CamTwist filter.
Return to the 'Audio/Video' tab in Skype's Preferences menu. Click the 'Camera' toolbar and select 'CamTwist.'
Return to the CamTwist application, leaving the video feed from the Preferences menu still visible.
Double-click any effect in the 'Effects' menu to preview the webcam feed in your webcam display. You can access a settings menu for individual effects by highlighting the effect in the 'Adjust Settings' window. You can also stack multiple effects, and each effect can be removed by clicking the 'X' adjacent to the effect in the 'Adjust Settings' window.
Close out of the Skype Preferences menu, leaving the CamTwist window open. Click one of your contacts and place a video call. You can apply new effects and adjust existing effects at any time during the videoconference by making changes in the CamTwist window.
