How to Erase Memory on MacBooks


Attach the drive your wish to erase and format to your machine if it is not connected already.
Launch a Finder window, click 'Applications', then 'Utilities'. Double-click the 'Disk Utility' application shortcut.
Click a disk in the Volumes section. Select the Volume type from the 'Volume Format' drop-down box.
Click the 'Security Options' button, then click to select the 'Zero All Data' check box. Click 'OK' then click the 'Erase...' button.

How to Make Speakers Louder on a MacBook


Check the 'Output Volume' level on your computer in 'System Preferences' under 'Sound.'
Click on the 'Output' Tab and check the 'Balance' and 'Output Volume.' Check the box next to 'Show volume in menu bar' for a shortcut to the volume levels.
Check the volume level in iTunes. There is a volume slider located at the top of the application.
Check the sound properties of your individual multimedia applications for output volume levels.
