How to Change an Apple Computer's Background to Black and White


Find the 'Apple Menu' icon. This is located at the top left corner of your screen.
Select the 'System Preferences' menu.
Click on the 'Universal Access' icon. It's on the last row to the far right.
Choose the 'Keyboard Shortcuts' menu.
Press the 'Switch to White on Black' push button.
Push the button again to return screen to black on white.
Adjust the contrast by moving the 'Enhance Contrast' button between 'Normal' and 'Maximum.'

How to Turn Off MacBook Keyboard Lights (3 Steps)


Locate the 'F5' button, which can be found in the top row of your MacBook's keyboard.
Press the 'F5' button to lower the lighting level of the keyboard back light. When pressed, the light-level indicator will appear on the screen, displaying the level at which the back light is presently set. Each time the 'F5' button is pressed, the back light will drop one level.
Press the 'F5' button until the back light is off and there are no blocks remaining in the light-level indicator on the screen.

How to Invert Colors on a Mac


Click on the Macintosh's 'System Preferences' icon, it looks like an apple on a light switch.
Locate the row labeled 'System.' Click on the last icon named 'Universal Access.'
Wait until the 'Display' screen appears. Press the 'White on Black' button.
Enjoy the altered look. Once the 'new look' gets old, return the screen to the old display by following Steps 1 through 4 again, making sure to click on 'Black on White.'
