How to Repair the Power Port on an Apple Laptop

Remove the battery. Turn the laptop upside down and press the two buttons below the battery. Remove the memory cover by unscrewing the three screws that the removed battery exposes. Remove the two screws against the opposite wall of the battery slot, as well as the Torx screws that are exposed directly beneath the battery. Additionally, remove the hinge screws at the edge of the laptop where the screen is connected. Remove the screws on the port side of the computer. This is the side opposite the power port. Remove the screws at the rear as well as the screws on the power port side of the laptop. You now should have removed all of the screws exposed by removing the memory door and the battery as well as all of the screws exposed externally.
Slide your finger around the plastic panel near the keyboard. The entire top of the laptop below the screen should pop off. Continue to gently pry around the edges as it comes up. Remove its connections to the motherboard.
Remove the fan by disconnecting it from its various connectors. If the laptop is oriented as it would be during use, the fan will be located in the upper left-hand corner. Remove the two screws holding it in place. This will expose the Airport card. Detach the antenna cables that are connected to it. Remove the single screw that holds it in place, and lift the airport card out of the computer gently.
Disconnect the speaker from the left IO board. It's located below where the Airport card was. Remove the speaker. This is in the upper left hand corner of the laptop if it's oriented normally. Disconnect the power cable on the IO board, unscrew the remaining screws holding it in place and remove it.
Insert the new left IO board, and reverse the previous steps.

How to Fix Water in My Laptop Screen (7 Steps)

Unplug your laptop and remove the battery.
Unscrew any screws around the frame. Not all laptop frames are screwed on, some simply snap in.
Use your small nylon pry tool to remove the monitor frame. Put the tip of the tool under the outer edge of the frame, work your way gradually around the frame, and gently pry the frame off.
Unscrew and pry off the plastic casings that cover the display hinge where the display meets the keyboard. This will reveal the monitor wiring.
Unscrew and remove any screws or brackets that are holding the laptop screen.
Line your keyboard with a clean, soft cloth. Put on the cotton gloves and pull the LCD screen down and rest it flat, face down on the keyboard.
Use a LCD screen cleaning cloth to blot up the liquid. A LCD screen cleaning spray can also be used if necessary. A blow dryer on a low setting can also be used to evaporate the water. Be careful to not let the laptop get too hot.
