How to Download Songs From a Mac Pro to an iPod

Start your computer and open your iTunes software. The main interface presents you with three main sections. There is a bar on the top that has playback controls, a display window and a search field. Directly below this is the largest window, which contains your music library. It displays the title, artist, album and other song information. On the far left is a navigation window that allows you to switch libraries (say, from music to video), view external devices and organize your playlists.
Plug in your iPod using the USB cable. In a few seconds it should show up in the window on the left under “Devices” as an icon of the iPod.
To place a song from the library on your computer to the iPod, click on the song you want and hold. Then, drag it from the library window to the icon of your iPod. A plus symbol will appear over the iPod. Let go of the mouse button. An arrow rotating in a circle will appear beside the iPod letting you know that the song is being transferred.
To transfer multiple songs, click to highlight any song you want. Then, hold the “?” key and click on the other songs you want. They will all become highlighted. Drag and drop any one of the selected songs. They will all transfer to the iPod. If all the songs are grouped together in the library, you can select the first then hold “Shift” and click on the last. This will highlight and allow you to drag and drop all of the songs at once.
To place all of your music on your iPod, first make sure it has enough space. Look at the bar on the bottom of the iTunes window. In the center it will display the amount of memory your songs take up. Then, click to select your iPod and select the “Music” tab. Your iPod’s available memory will appear on the bottom of the window. If your iPod has enough free space, click the “Sync music” box then click “Sync” in the bottom-right corner. This will erase all the music on your iPod and replace it with the library on your computer (See Reference 1).

How to Download Songs from YouTube on a Mac (7 Steps)

Open Safari on your Mac. It will be in your dock or in the hard drive/Applications folder. Double click on it to open it.
Go to the webpage of the YouTube song you would like to download. Be sure you are on the page of the song and not the page of the user who uploaded the song. Double click on the name of the video to get the webpage of the song you want to download.
Click on 'Activity' in the 'Window' menu. Click the arrow next to the name of the page so the arrow is facing downwards. It will be 'YouTube Title of the Video,' with 'Title of the Video' replaced by the actual title. A list of files will show up.
Scroll through the list of files and double click on the one with the largest file size. For most YouTube songs, it is about 5MB or more. A new window will open in Safari, along with Safari's download manager and the file will be downloaded onto your Mac as an FLV. Change the location of the downloaded file by clicking on 'Preferences' in the 'Safari' menu, choose 'General' and select a location for the file from the 'Save Downloaded Files to' menu. Click 'Other' to choose a new destination for the file.
Open QuickTime Pro in your dock or hard drive/Applications folder. Click 'Open File' in the file menu and choose the FLV file from your Mac.
Select 'Export' from the File menu and choose 'Sound to AIFF.' Click 'Save.'
Click on the AIFF file once it is completed and iTunes will open it automatically.

How to Take Notes on an iPad (7 Steps)

Tap 'Notes' on your home screen to launch the app.
Tap the 'Plus' sign on the upper right corner of your screen to create a new notes page. You'll see an on-screen keyboard appear at the bottom and your cursor blinking on the first line of your blank page, ready to go. For a larger keyboard that can help you type quicker and more accurately, flip your iPad horizontally.
Title your notes page succinctly on the first line. Only the first 20 or so letters of your title will display in a notes index that iPad automatically generates to help you find particular notes later on. So, use abbreviations and short, descriptive titles liberally. For example, enter 'OCCC Conf 6/11' or 'To-Do List.'
Tap the 'Return' key on your keyboard to begin typing your notes. If you've copied information to your iPad clipboard from another source, such as a recipe from a website, double-tap on your cursor and select 'Paste.'
Use iPad typing shortcuts and tricks to minimize keystrokes. They are especially helpful when note-taking speed is critical. For example, double-tap the spacebar to end a sentence with a period and begin the next sentence with a capital letter. For a list of other speed-typing tips, see the Resources.
Tap the 'Keyboard' key on the bottom right corner to make the on-screen keyboard disappear. This will help you review your notes more easily.
Tap anywhere within your notes to summon back your virtual keyboard. To edit your notes, tap on the line in which you'd like to place your cursor to add or revise text as needed.
