How to Capture Images on a MacBook Pro (9 Steps)
Click the 'Finder' icon in the dock.
Click the 'Go' menu at the top of the screen, then click 'Utilities.'
Double-click 'Grab.'
Click the 'Capture' menu.
Click 'Selection,' as an option, then click and drag the mouse over the screen to capture the desired image area. This is useful for capturing the image of a desired area of the screen only, instead of the entire screen.
Click 'Window,' as an option, then click 'Choose Window,' then click the opened window to capture the image of just the opened window and not the entire screen.
Click 'Screen,' as an option, then click outside of the 'Screen Grab' window to capture the image of the entire screen.
Click 'Timed Screen,' as an option, then click 'Start Timer.' The image of the entire screen is captured 10 seconds after pressing 'Start Timer.'
Click 'File,' then 'Save' to save the captured image as a TIFF image file.
